Actually it wasn't so much the old european church as it was the old european culture. The church REFLECTS this, but delve into history and you'll see that the 'anti wolf' stigma ppears well before it worked it's way into church, and animals are usually seen in a positive light in the bible. Old chu...

Humans, as a so-called primate, are damned strange, though. We probably wouldn't last three minutes in a baboon troop. Take for example, the social practice of mooning. It's supposed to be mocking, a sign of disrespect. By primate (and canine, and feline) standards, though, it's a signal of submiss...

Actually, most 'anti wolf' stigma comes not from movie and modern society, but instead from ancient times, when wolves hunted the same food as humans, humans occasionly stumbled onto wolf pups (wolves WILL attack humans to protect their cubs. Sorry, but that's true) The stories of 'evil' wolves prob...

Well..
Since the whole bone, organ and tissue structure changes, why not the genitillia? Human 'type' in human form, canine type in wolf form and... Well, are the gesalts bipedal or can they switch to quad and back? If they switch back and forth, then males at least would have to have canine type, other wi...

As someone who fit into none of the peer groups in school, I can definitly agree with the statment that humans form 'packs' with a definite alpha (usually an 'alpha pair') a beta or three, everyone else more or less of equal rank, though it's constantly shifting about. there's usually a few omegas c...

On the subject of shedding: True, as a human you wouldn't feel too much of an adverse effect, though if you're a northener with 'thick blood' you'd still feel uncomfortable. But I meant more along the lines of 'in gesalt or wolf forms' they'd be uncomfortable. As someone who used to own shelties (.....

Re: Poisons (and other topics)
That was discussed a bit in this thread: http://calypso-blue.com/werewolf/viewtopic.php?t=1357 Ack! Sorry, I missed it :( *bows* My sincere apologies, I will do my best to avoid making a simular mistake in the future. IIRC, in gestalt form there was a sacrifice in color vision and acuity for increa...

Poisons (and other topics)
If this topic is already on here, my apologies, I must have missed it. While both humans and canines are both omnivorous, the foods we can eat are markidly differant. Humans can easily digest (in fact, human health can be improved) by foods that can cause extremly painful deaths in canines (Chocolat...

Hello;)
It's interesting what you can find while doing google searches. I read through the forum, and am now all but bouncing in place. Finally, a werewolf movie that doesn't leave me wondering why the werewolves have mange, are baboons, or worse. Instead, someone decided to see what people actually wanted....
