Re: Ask A Werewolf

Good point about movement; it could be that simply being more dynamic would help improve the appearance of the lighting and set. I'll have to work with it in the coming months.

The next few weeks are pretty busy for me, but I do hope to get more episodes in the coming months.

Re: Star Trek Into Darkness

I'm very excited, and I'm looking forward. I do, however, wish that Star Trek would move away from conflict-driven space opera and go back to its roots as deep intellectually driven stories. And, no, those don't have to be boring or talky. The new Doctor Who has the flavor of the original Star Trek ...

Re: When did the idea of non evil werewolves come from?

Non-evil werewolves originally began as whatever they called werewolves before the idea of pairing turning into a wolf got mixed together with being evil.

Re: What to do with those who claim to be Werewolves

We may not really need to do much of anything. People making wild claims for attention generally stop when they don't get the attention sought.

It should be noted that the question of how to handle an actual werewolf coming forward is largely a philosophical one, for reasons we've previously covered.

Almost; I finished my coffee about thirty minutes ago, but I still have the bottle on the table. It's a Starbucks iced coffee.

I wonder what number this post is? How many total posts have I ever put on The Pack?

Edit: It's 4663. That's a prime number.

Re: The Walking Dead

Season Three has definitely been an improvement. Season One was great, but Two really languished for awhile, dragging and getting stuck in melodramatic arguments in circles. Finally just killing you-know-who (avoiding spoilers to any late-comers) got the story moving again. It's more fun when it's a...

Re: A shadow of what we once were

We can't recreate the past--only build a new future. I will admit a certain frustration that buzz here has fallen way down, right as our original purpose, of getting werewolves done right via the project that is now Freeborn , is finally getting done. Many of our other filmmaker members' werewolf pr...

Re: So, the Duck made it on to the poster.

The Pack duckie made at a few appearances at All-Con. I saw one in the art show room, sitting on the laptop there. I also had one hurled at me, Figarou style, by Anthony. I wish we had more Pack members at All-Con. It wasn't just another recap of the last eight years of trying to get anything done; ...

I simply forgot to watch for it. I'll try to catch it next year. Now that I've made it to All-Con, I'll be mindful that it's just a few weeks earlier at the same site, and try to make at least a day trip of it.

You announced actual filming! You had no less than four cast members there! Why aren't we seeing more excitement? We've been waiting years for this moment. We got a lot more excited about a lot less back in the old days.

Re: About all these medical test scenarios...

I routinely get normal people with temperatures between 97 and 99.5 (Yes, we actually use Fahrenheit even in medical records here in the U.S.) If someone has a temperature of 101 to 102, the normal core body temperature of a wolf, we'd worry about fever and try to find the cause. In someone with no ...

Re: The Howling is being rebooted!

I finally saw it! The Howling Reborn --the opening credits say that it is based on Brandner's second The Howling novel. (The movie Howling II certainly wasn't.) I was pleasantly surprised. I have gotten so used to really bad werewolf movies that I wasn't expecting anything good, especially from the ...

Re: Ask A Werewolf

Appreciate the suggestions. I'm using a simple digital camera, not a camcorder, so the mic isn't that great. I speak up and then turn up the sound in the editing phase, but I freely admit it looks pretty rough. So, I let it look rough and make that part of the bit. I haven't yet figured out a way to...
