Werewolf racing, or lack thereof

So, I've noticed that there's no real dedicated discussion in this desert about werewolves as racers. No, I don't mean car racing. I can only assume that it's because people don't think there's no real kind of "beast inside" tepid drama to be found in overglorified greyhound racing compared to the tired old illegal werewolf cagefighting trope.

But, you know, there's plenty of ways to intensify the event, if you find relatively bloodless racer drama where competing wolves challenge each other with pure racing skills insultingly dull. Haven't we learned a thing about Hollywood chariot racing, where people equip all sorts of weapons on their chariots and horses to throw off or kill opposing riders, or those racing games where you get to equip weapons to destroy or stall opposing vehicles? Better yet, werewolf rally racing where you have a navigator who's riding on the wolf, so it's like long-distance horseracing on crack. Who cares if it's silly and ridiculous?
