Werewolves also known as dog-men,lycanthrope (lycan for short), loud gar,and many many other names. Now,I'm not a werewolf but wish to become one.I know the truth about werewolves for I have spoken to many of them. They told me the truth about their kind, they showed me their world.

Werewolf History

Thousands of years ago Lycan's were treated as pets by the vampire kind. They had no freedom,no rights. The vampires were very cruel to the werewolves and finally one day the Lycan's had enough of being mistreated. So they attacked the vampires this is how the war between vampires and werewolves began. For centuries they have fought and many lives were lost. Now,their history is very long and some what complex if you wanna learn more about their history message me.

Packs:

They have packs but not like normal wolf packs. They can have over a thousand members!

Breeds of werewolves:

Human-like:they have hand-like paws,wolf paws (back),tail,wolf eyes,wolf fur,hair,human-like characteristic's

Wolf-like:Like Twilight wolves

Therians-Humans who were supposed to be wolves

Wolf-people:humans with wolf ears,wolf tail,wolf eyes,and wolf fangs

Ways to become one:

1)Born being one
2)Cursed by a witch/wizzard/or gypsy
3)Bitten or scratched by one
4)Magic spells

Need any more information about them message me.

It would be more profitable to ask about, share, and discuss those things openly in this thread, rather than exchange tidbits of information with self selected individuals in private. Wouldn't you agree? In fact what you've written so far could form the basis of an essay. :)

By the way, I'd be remiss if I didn't mention that alas, this isn't a place to form a "pack" or recruit members therein, in fact the practice is frowned on here. Sorry to be a wet blanket, but these housekeeping chores stand between you and a slightly twitchy forum administrator.

Boring chores aside, I know about therians, some of whom I have the pleasure of counting among my friends, if you like I'll be happy to privately or publicly chew the fat about that. I myself could be described as something of an honorary gray-muzzle in the therian community, though I don't see myself that way, and here I'm just a werewolf fan. But having known the community for many years, and been privy to many conversations, I dare say I know the lay of the land quite well. I'd be careful of presenting myself as a guru though, with good reason, there are many more knowledgeable seasoned werewolf buffs here.

Anyway, end off topic ramble here. Don't mind me, I'm just a friendly neighbourhood amorphous beast, here to help you get situated :) .

Take it easy.

I agree with meeper about: ask about, share, and discuss those things openly in this thread.
And do not be disapointed if you find that most of us do not belive in real werewolfs becouse we are more fans, artists, book writers and filmakers.

And that Werewolf history sounds quite familiar too me :)

Mostly, yes. I know some therians that registered here in the capacity of being fans as well, but who are also therians, practicing shamans and the like who take their business seriously. In their communities they had to worry about every time a new movie or other "media hit" came out (like Twilight), because there'd be an influx of teenagers who were excitedly inspired by the movies, but didn't really understand or care about the community interests that they'd entered into and would eventually leave behind after their enthusiasm runs its course. These concerns were brought with them here, hence the stance against teenagers wanting to form packs and whatnot.

But The Pack Den community is a different dynamic, there's been discussions of other things we could potentially do with the site. One suggestion is maybe adding a dating/personals section for example. It's not unreasonable to consider maybe branching out a pack forming sub section to go with the art, literature, and role playing subsections, I just wanted to make sure the lines weren't getting blurred, this is the section to discuss what a werewolf should be, but the opening post of this thread looked suspiciously like a recruitment drive dressed in scholarly werewolf clothing. Naughty naughty :P .

*Edit* I apologize for derailing the thread, I can get over zealous sometimes.

The metaphor isn't a literal one. The name reflects the theme for a fan site dedicated to werewolves. And while there's arguably a spiritual sense of family here, (or pack"), it's not an actual pack. Think pop idle fan club, we're here nerd out together about the topic of werewolves.

Believe me, the majority of people who frequent this site with a purpose honestly do wish werewolves were a reality. The simple fact is, werewolves are not known to exist in any form other than our imaginations, and in the absence of any evidence to the contrary will indeed cause most of us here to frown on those seeking a "Real pack" (or even a pretend one), on the internet of all places, where just about any whim or fancy can be rendered into words at the expense of meaningful pursuits.

It's why I personally maintain that if you want to be in a werewolf pack, not joking, it's going to be a long hard road, something that has to be achieved. You said it yourself, the stuff on youtube failed, and it will continue to fail. How do I know? If any of this was possible so readily, then "those dastardly teenage werewolves dug up my lawn over night!" would be part of daily household conversation, we'd have jobs waiting for them after schooling is completed, there'd werewolf medications on pharmacy shelves. The list is endless.

*Edit* Tell you what, a little while ago I was considering posting a thread to discuss how we're going to get real werewolves, specifically for people like you. If you like, we can use this thread to discuss those things. I've been at this a long time in the capacity of an armchair "conceptualist" to coin a phrase. I can give you a conceptual leg up in what needs to be done in real world terms. But I warn you now, I won't be blowing smoke, and I have zero faith in anybody having the drive or commitment to even attempt anything I have in mind.
