Yes, they will restart the movie series.
No, Wes Craven won't be involved. It will be Michael Bay who will direct the movie.
It is not yet said if Robert Englund will return as Freddy (I hope he does though, he is awesome).
New Line also wants to reset Friday the 13th.

Uhhh....Have you seen Robert Englund lately? He gained some fifty pounds. He's a fatty now. I can't imagine a Fat Fred. Oh well, nothing a little makeup will do for a bulging gut.
Let's hope it will be dark. For some reason the Nightmare on Elm Street movies became more and more laid back as they went along. Freddy VS. Jason was a little too comical. Where's the fear? You had two boggymen going after each other in a slug fest. That didn't strike fear into my heart if you ask me. Jason X was like a bad B movie too.
We'll just have to see I guess.
