Anybody saw this or planning on seeing it? I did last night...call it a Valentines gift for the girl who likes Faeries...and it was alright. A little cheesy but it is Nickolodeon. The acting was OK.
I wouldnt say it was either bad nor good. Some of the creatures from the Spiderwick books are just really cool looking...like the troll. But most of the others look the same. The Hobgoblin was so funny! Id recommend renting it...but it did have the best ending to a villian EVER!

Hmmmmm... as fas as I know, it is based on a children's book illustrated by Tony DiTerlizzi. People who have played AD&D, early M:tG, or early W:tA might recognize his work. Here is his website http://www.diterlizzi.com/ I find his work pleasant, so I might go see this movie.
Eh it wasn't bad. I saw this and Jumper tonight. Spiderwick did have some really corny parts with some really corny dialogue and I had some problems yet again with some of the animation. Either way it was kind of a different roll for little Freddie, so it seemed like he struggled with it a bit, but still he's not bad for a child actor. I enjoyed it alright though : D Least it had something resembling a story which is more then I can say for Jumper : D
