GO SEE IRON MAN!!!!

Post by Black Claw »

Go see Iron Man guys that was an awesome movie but that's not the best part,...... Watch the secret ending after all the credits!!!!!! :howl: :oo

p.s. for all you comic book freaks, lets just say that a group is forming. Can you guess who??
I am the guardian of the light and darkness,
I am the one who whispers in the dark,
I am the eyes of your soul,
I am the shield,
I am the sword.

And here I thought the Avengers was a '60's British TeeVee show. I wonder, though; he calls himself "Iron-Man", yet he never presses a single shirt.

The flick is good, though; in an overdone way. Don't miss it if you can!

I think the British TV show came first (although the classic run - Patrick Macnee and Diana Rigg - wasn't until a few years later).
Then there was the American comic.
Then there was the Wellington pop group.
Then there was the British car (called the "Plymouth Cricket" in America).

And so on and so forth...

Should have known to stay till after the credits, but nature was calling.

I liked it. Tis a good movie for a superhero flick. What you expect to see and all that.

Got to love the AI and the robotic arms he has helping him out and I so want his 3D design table if it's ever possible to acutally make such a thing.

Saw it tonight. It was good.
The robots were awesome, but I think the best part is when he shot the tank. *grin*

Wish I'd read to stay through the credits. I missed whatever it was.

Seeing Sam Jackson after the credits as Nick Fury pissed me off. Why do they ALWAYS take white superheroes and remake them into black ones? I'm sick of this PC-nonsense!

no good reason huh, well, I for one can only think of two marvel black super heroes, and only one of those is anywhere close to being a main hero. Storm and Black Panther, now how fair is that to a black kid on the playground, when he has to pick a superhero, some kid is going to tell him he can't be Ironman or wolverine, he has to be Storm, think of it as affermitive action in the comic book world.

edit: War Machine also a black super hero

You're also forgetting Bill Foster (I think that's his name), a.k.a. Goliath, and Luke Cage, a.k.a. Power Man.

If you want to see it....go here.

If you want to read some info on it...copy and paste the link below in your browser. Make sure you include (comics) or you won't go to the right page.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Avengers_(comics)

(Scroll down to where it says "Film")

Or....read the info here.
Film

In August 2006, it was revealed by a stock market report that The Avengers was listed under Marvel films in development. It was later stated that Zak Penn, writer of the scripts for X2, X-Men: The Last Stand, and Elektra was to write the movie's script.[25]

Iron Man director Jon Favreau said he would like to direct a film adaptation of The Avengers. This would be a crossover to fictional universes in other upcoming Marvel films such as The Incredible Hulk, Thor and Captain America. He also explained that Marvel has told him that "they're pretty clear on wanting to do it with the actors who've established the roles or to not do it at all." He continued, "I think it's a good idea if you use the characters established in the other franchises that then come together for an event." [26]

In a report to shareholders on May 5, 2008, Marvel Entertainment announced the release dates for two planned Avenger movies. The First Avenger: Captain America (working title) is schedule for May 6, 2011, followed by the The Avengers, which is scheduled for July 2011.[27]

The first reference to the Avengers is in the 2008 film Iron Man, when Nick Fury (played by Samuel L. Jackson) appears in a post credits scene and speaks with Tony Stark about the "Avenger Initiative."

I don't see why he was called IRON man, though; he never pressed a shirt, or a pair of pants...
And the armor was all ALLOY. Not a speck of iron involved, except as the compass needle.

I know your joking but for the refereance:

It get's back to the original suit, whiich in the comics at least he wore for much longer than he did in this film. that one was iron, or at least steel and in the comics, was 1970s Vietnam tech. Course like any series it needed to be updated. Otherwise Superman should have retired ages ago from protecting Toront-er, Metropolis.

Alloys involve Elements....iron is an element :thpt2:
