This French lycanthrope got off lucky; rather than the Uday Hussein tribute horrible torture and slow death, he was sentenced to life in a monestary.

He was a younger boy, who was likely mentally retarded and schizophrenic, but his symbols are interesting. Specifically, he claimed to meet with le Maitre du Foret, the "Master of the Forest." I can't help but think of the Pagan Cernunnos, or the Wild Hunt (as popularized by Dio's 1990 album, Lock Up the Wolves, which by the way has a very lupine title track, if you haven't already suspected.)
Taking a Gestalt approach, since it's the "in" thing...

Scott, great story, I have Sabine Baring-Gould's book, I am totally into interesting stories and "lores" (and it sounds like you are too from your posts here).
