It's not a strongly held opinion of mine but I find some things pretty provocative about it.

The latest Neanderthal findings coincide geographically with the earliest Werewolf reports (north of the Back Sea). And Modern Therians seem to have a high frequency of a tooth form (shovel tooth) common only to a small group in Appalachia, Native Americans, and Neanderthal.

A shoveltooth incisor is concave on the rear surface and has a slight medial ridge. If you scrape your fingernal up the back, it will click. It's very much lie a spade shaped shovel.
