Body of Bigfoot uncovered?

Post by Scott Gardener »

Two guys in Georgia (the U.S. state, not the country under siege) claim to have found a body of a deceased Bigfoot. What's unusual about this claim is, they actually have a body! They're evidently working on getting it over to reputable biologists to do DNA studies.

Could this be the real deal? The photo looks a bit like a drunk furry or the werewolf from a movie that only one of us die hard fans would sit through from beginning to end on a dull afternoon. But, here's a body, not just claims or fuzzy photos. Here's something we can prove or disprove. If it's a hoax, we're back to maybe. If not, though, then 2008 will prove to be a pivotal year for cryptobiology, when the sasquatch goes from paranormal to a brand new endangered species for the Bush Administration to try to kill off.

I don't know if I should be excited or utterly peeved!

I mean, I really cannot tell by the picture whether or not this is the real thing, and I am afraid that if I get all aexcited and droky about this that I will only be letting my hopes up. I am also aware of the lengths people will go to play a hoax. On the other hand, they did claim to have a body -- how often do you get that?

It is probably fake.

Like I said in the other thread, I really hope this turns out to be real(and the government doent take it away or something)

If Big Foot is real than who knows what else might be real too :)

So we wait until the thing gets necropsied and identified by someone reliable.
The County Coroner would be a good choice.

As I pointed out some time ago, a Werewolf could shift on you tube and nobody'd believe it.
Why? Because we're either "It's real" or "It's fake".

There is something in the freezer. That's where it stands now.

UPDATE: It isn't Bigfoot. According to the samples provided, one was human and one was opossum.

So...it's a Were-Opossum (you saw them in Underworld as Werewolves)

Well, there you have it. Back to square one. We can never proove a null hypothesis, so bigfoot will never be a zero probability, but it looks like we're back to "probably not." We can thank the hoaxters for an amusing headline and a few days of pay for the lab guys, but I don't think they get the prize.
