Sacred Rite - Resurrection is finally done!

Post by Baphnedia »

And, it's so good for someone else from the band to write the note for me...
- I am a guest artist with Sacred Rite
- I have performed with Dream Chemistry in the past
- This news is made of 100% pure awesome.

"I know I've been scarce, but I have been really busy jamming with my
live group Dream Chemistry and getting lose ends tied up on Sacred
Rite- Resurrection. I should have CD in hand in a couple weeks and it
should go on sale some time next month. It will be available at all
the obvious places. Primarily through www.Caterine-Music and
www.SacredRite.com but will also be available through CD Baby, Amazon,
Sentinel Steel Records, etc, etc.

I've put a track up at www.MySpace.com/sacredrite

It's called Long Way Down. When your jaws drop to floor, keep in mind
that the CD was completely recorded in 3 different parts of the
country and that none of us saw each other at all during the process.
The entire mix was done on our PC's and Mac's using Sonar, Acid Pro
and Pro Tools and completely mastered on Pro Tools in the privacy of
our bedrooms.

To top it off -all drum tracks were recorded from beyond the grave. As
many of you know Kevin Lum passed away at age 38 in 2002, due to
complications from juvenile diabetes, which he had lived with his
entire life. We salvaged various drum tracks from previous recordings,
demo's and rehearsal recordings done between 1984 and 1990. We
enhanced some of them and added a few samples to use in the
construction of these new songs. I think this is a fitting tribute to
a good friend and band mate.

This concept was taken from The Beatles recording of Free As A Bird.
If you all remember they had to do the same thing with Lennon's tracks.

This is essentially why it took nearly 3 years to finish this CD, but
I'm happy to announce that it was worth it. It easily stands up to
anything currently available.

Again. please go to www.MySpace.com/sacredrite and listen to Long Way
Down and give me your thoughts. The CD cover is also up for viewing.

Oh, and I got in my order of Resurrection CDs today. So, if you want one for yourself (w/ or w/o an autograph from moi), PM me so I can send you my paypal address. I'm asking $15 per CD, and have a $5 military discount (the sending address for paypal for that discount to apply must be from a .mil domain if not buying in person). If the order is within the US, then S&H is included in the $15 - if international, I'll have make a list of how much for what countries (we'll find out as we go). I hope you enjoy it!
