It's been tried. I have yet to hear from anyone that any lycanthropes have taken the offer.

But, it certainly makes for a good story plot. Suppose a werewolf did show up...

I also had in mind this image of a story in which a group of people come across an evil genie that grants twisted versions of their wishes. About half-way through the story, one of the guys points out, "uh, just so you know, there's this thing, called 'therianthropy.' Since all our wishes seem to be coming true in evil, demented ways, I thought you should know, because... well... there's a full moon tonight, and you may be land sushi soon."

Let's see: Fleas. Matting. Dealing with "doggy odor" everytime you sweat.
Filing your claws so they look like nails. Never opening your mouth wide enough for people to see your teeth.
Resisting the urge to scratch...with your foot.
Having No love life because you just might start something happening...
Knowing that if you do settle down, it will be with either a dog or a b****.
Having to keep the windows covered all the time, or live in a tall building.
Then there are fleas...again; and shedding twice a year.

I heard Drano is a really easy way to become a werewolf... (for the maturally impaired... don't drink drano... it will kill you). (Just a disclosure in case somebody is really stupid enough to win a Darwin Award by trying it.)

Just FYI... Getting bitten to become a werewolf is Hollywood fabrication. You will unfortunately not be able to find any legends, myths, lore, or whatever where lycanthropy is transmitted via a bite. Now rabies is transmitted via a bite, but I strongly doubt that anybody WANTS to get rabies, just watch Quarantine... or Cujo for that matter. Of course rabies doesn't turn people into zombies or lovable large dogs into human hunting demon hounds, but it is a rather nasty virus that is ranked near #1 in the suffering catagory.

Well it would be cool if people werewolves.

however with me, I wouldn't want to be the werewolf slaughtering humanity. I would be a superhero type werewolf.
