I forgot, and my computer had to go to the shop.

1 question about Second Life. Why do most werewolf groups worship "Gaia" from a board game?

Yeah, a fair portion of them may be of a Werewolf: The Apocalypse or Werewolf: The Forsaken background. I speculate that most werewolf groups venerate Gaia because W:TA is/was one of the more 'mainstream' examples of werewolves, or possible just because wolves=nature and Gaia is nature.
I wouldn't mind seeing a group of post-apocalyptic werewolves that worship a fortune-telling machine, like you would find at a carnival. It would at least be novel.

Sounds like the plot to Battle Angel: Alita Last Order

Yeah, but they say you have to play the game in order to be considered a werewolf. However, I beg to differ.

Yeah, they did. I told them that they do not have to play the game to be a werewolf fan, but hey were like "yeah you do," and i said "No you don't". soon after words they got tired of me correcting them. this is on Second life by the way.

Look, you have a group in Second Life. Why get bothered by what another group says when you have your own group?

Remember, SL is a place chock full of people with differing opinions. Let them (whoever they are) do their thing, and you do yours. That's what SL is all about; doing your own thing in your own way.

If you're thinking two or three "Post Apocalypse generation" Werewolves; ie: a hundred years or so after things went pear-shaped and crashed, my bet goes to a dead computer as a Deity.
Just think about how much the computer has taken control of society...
"The great god Desktop dwells in the sacred heaven of Internet; where the spirits Microsoft and MacIntosh serve the deity's wishes. The god's Prophet was named DOS. Those who are evil are banished to "WorkOffline" for all eternity." The high priests are called "Sysops" and the lesser ones called "Teksupport".
I could go on, but I'm laughing too hard already...

I don't like Second Life, way complicated, and it has a history of crazy stunts in it, like worse than most other games. See Casey Schreiner's MMO Report's 'WTF Second Life!?!?' for examples.
Why universities think its agood idea I'll never know. Any minute hordes of pink wiggling...un-mentionables could be crawling across your screen.

Good to see you to be back.

Second-Life? Meh....After touching that game I immediately uninstalled it from my computer. The only thing that I like about it the customizations and mods. Also the Furry/Anthro community that makes well-made 3D anthro avatars/models.

What's the story on this Second Life thing? I was web-crawling and ran across this awesome-looking avatar they've got https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/Th ... ar/4817944. The thing looks freaking awesometastic, but I can't figure out what the rest of Second Life is all about. It doesn't look like an MMORPG or anything, it just looks like sort of weird social site, sort of like an interactive version of The Sims or something.

Well, basically it is some kind of 'weird social site' - it launched a major discussion some years back when it first came out, stirred a lot of interest in the scientific community as well - even got a cinematic nod of reference in the movie 'Gamers' starring Gerard Butler.

If you want to know more, here's the wikipedia article: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Second_Life

I hope this will diminish your confusion

There was even a scene in Hot Tub Time Machine where Jacob is playing Second Life on his laptop just sitting in jail. Me and my buddy looked up his suppose user name he uses and it turned out to be real with the background as to why he is sitting in jail in the game in the first place.
