A: No. No I can't. I'm like, almost completely computer illiterate. I can never find what I'm looking for on the "internets-series-of-tubes-thingy". Seriously. If you told me to go find porn on the internet, I'd probably have trouble -- and need several hours of struggling with it...

B: Even if I could, I'm also absurdly lazy. :D

Yeah, but the werewolf in the movie looked totally cheap. If you're going to buy a figurine, it should look awesome, right?

In the case of the Dog Soldiers action figure, thank God it didn't! Otherwise, I definitely wouldn't have bought it. On the flip side of that, why oh why couldn't the Velkan figure look like he did in the movie???

Well, it sort of did -- I mean, two arms, two legs, the uh... two things coming out of the top of his head, whatever those are... :eyebrow:

It all depends upon your perspective, I guess. See, I simply went into it assuming that Chewbacca there just got a little melted in the fire. :D

That Velkan action figure really does remind me of a bowel movement. I just don't understand why Jakks Pacific couldn't have put the same effort into capturing his likeness like they did for the other two creatures from the film (Dracula's Hellbeast form and Frankenstein's monster) :?

Because, let's not forget the cardinal rule of Hollywood and anything associated with them: if you only frak up one thing, make sure it's the werewolf.

Even the Harry Potter series followed this rule. Hippogryphs, dragons, amazing wizard battles... and the werewolf looks like a malnourished rat.
Taking a Gestalt approach, since it's the "in" thing...

At least the werewolf in the movie looked fairly awesome (even tailess as it was).

EDIT: Van Helsing not Harry Potter, I mean.

There's some vague resemblance in the pec line and contours of the upper ribs, but it's largely turned to mush by shoddy fur texturing, blobby arms, drainpipe legs, small hands, and child bearing hips. That's obviously a child's toy, though I wouldn't insult a child of mine with it. Anyway, it's a toy product, not a proper figurine :thpt2: , doesn't count, quite why it entered the conversation has me a bit puzzled, aside from comedy werewolf merchandise  .

What we really need is to have the original CG model that they used in the the movie run off on one of those newfangled 3D printers

In the meantime I think we need to get some nice, soothing, anodyne pictures up here to take away the shudder, yes *slinks away to work on the big-bad...*.

While the empty can may rattle the most, of equal or potentially greater import is what the reputably quiet cans are really full of.

But, but, but... then it'll be, like, eight feet tall! I can't get that to fit through my door! :D

Hmmm... I wonder what FedEx would charge to ship it...

But then it keeps hitting the sides of the door instead of the top -- Oh... you mean stick it in lengthwise... Oh, okay. Now all I have to do is figure out where I'm going to park it. I really don't want to make room for it by moving my eight-foot-tall Voltron... :thpt2:

*sigh* Look, if it's one of my parties, they're probably pretty wasted -- and that means that their aim isn't going to be all that great... See lovec, you've got to think about these things... :D

If they really have to go, there's always the tree in the neighbor's back yard. It's dark back there -- nobody'll notice...

So, when all was said and done, did it look like the bathroom at the gas station? :gasmask:

Oh, well in that case, I suppose we could have the 3D printer make the parts needed to build a fully functional werewolf android, and have it climb through the window, how's that grab ya? :o 8) . (Note: if you can afford to buy a big enough 3D printer to make a 8' tall figurine, then you probably have enough money to make a werewolf android from parts made on a "desktop" 3D printer  )

*sigh* There's a lot of things I could do if I only had enough money...

For some reason, I just flashed on that Bruce Willis movie Surrogates that came out a few years back. You know the one about a future in which everybody interacts through robotic drones built to look like idealized versions of themselves (the makeup was seriously creepy, by the way). Dude, if that day ever comes...

Dude, there were people in this world doing weird crazy things in ancient Greece, things that I as a modern day human can honestly sit back and gawk in wonder at, people lose sight of human craziness because of education in the craziness that panned out, but I have to keep reminding myself, if nobody educated me in, for example, math, would I have figured it out all by myself? Probably not, yet there were crazy people who did math problems, I mean god, why math?!?! Bleh! sometimes at the expense of everyday life and duty too, just as there are crazy people today who are, like those early mathematicians, trying to crack robotics, I think the problem will eventually crumble in the unrelenting onslaught of human craziness. If the day comes? pfft, more like WHEN it comes, the only thing that will stop it happening is a massive meteor strike from outer freaking space!

I hope I live to see it :) . The Robot werewolves I mean, not earth shattering meteor strikes, that would suck...
