I'm new here. Can i still get a necklace

There seems to be some slight confusion that I just want to straighten out. (Anook this is no reflection on you and your post here is not what spurred this post, so not to worry )

If you want to go on the list for a pack symbol/necklace please go to the REQUEST LIST that's been established, the link is above, and put your name there. Even something as simple as "ADD ME" will do. Any lists that were previously compiled by anyone else does not count and were based on post totals and that is not the route (exactly) that we are going.

So, if you want one...you have to get on MY waiting list. Unfortunately as you know, we are all still waiting....and waiting...and waiting.

The links in the first post need to be updated. This isn't the only place that needs it. The forum switch will plague us with this minor problem for awhile.

You should go to Pack - General Business board and put your name in for the list. Read everything carefully first. I'm not a mod or anything, just giving a tip so you get noticed by Leighla. She'll add you to the list if you read through, you'll see how she does it bit by bit, although she's slowed a bit I think, probably has a lot on her plate, work, or other commitments, which is fine by me, since I know how she feels.

ill take one, I got a paypal to send monies for shipping too. If anyone else in the Akron area wants one too and can PM me, Im sure we can set something up to receive them. Im sure it would cost roughly the same amount to ship two of them in one package as it would cost to ship one in one package. If not the same amount, deffinitely a lot cheaper.

I live in wadsworth, which is about 15-20 minutes west of Akron. I have a car and we can arrange any location around Akron where I can drop off a necklace. just cant drive much farther away than Akron area. Already have a lot of mileage on my car and I dont want to push it any further. if you happen to live around Medina or Wooster, that can work too as a meeting point. i go down to wooster every so often for fur meets and such. medina I dont go to very often, but its close enough to Fairlawn that meeting wouldnt be a problem.

Last I heard is they had a limited amount and nothing new has come in for some time.

Oh that's a shame i wold have like to have had one

On August 6th, (The day after my Birthday), I tore my Yellowstone Dorm apart looking for my Pack Necklace, but it was nowhere to be found.

I had hiked in many different places the day before, through tall grass and brush and miles of trails, and the leather band I had been using to wear it was soft and had a habit of coming untied even when I tied it in a knot ... so I think it must have just fallen off somewhere and I didn't notice ... On my Birthday ...



I was hoping that maybe, possibly, I would be able to get back on the list and get a replacement, but it looks like that is simply not going to happen, considering the request list thread is locked and all.

I'm so bummed. I went out and bought an $8 leather necklace band just to wear it with, and wore it every day since ... until I lost it ... On my Birthday ...


I guess I'm just going to have to make my own ... or something ...






(BTW: I apologize for not visiting more often. I so rarely get a decent internet connection, and when I do, Communicating with family, and personal business comes first. Plus ... you have no idea how much grief I've had to go through just to type and post this single message, so I'm going to cram everything I want to say into it at once.

Hopefully I'll have time to catch up with what's been going on in the pack again once I get back home to Minnesota ... and my high-speed, unfiltered internet connection ... in October. Unless I decide to come right back to Yellowstone, or Grand Canyon, or some other place for the Winter. I still don't know what I'm going to do after I finish here.

Sadly, the answer is ... YOU DON'T.

Unless you happen to run into one of the few Pack Members that is in possession of one of the few remaining extras (at a Convention or other such meeting place), they simply are no longer available. They are no longer being manufactured, and the sloppy distribution system that was once in place has fallen apart.

This was a "While Supplies last ... For a limited time only" kind of deal.


... though maybe someone could create a "Series Two" necklace that is easier to make/distribute and start over again. ... but that is just blind hope at this point ...

I know how to use photoshop and Illustrator. Gimmie the basic design, Ill remake it, then ill see if I can find any1 with a way to make it. (I have my ways)
