Yup. He is going to have a panel called....

"How to wear a costume and become a character"

I'm going to see about attending that panel and video tape it.

(Thats if he'll allow video cameras in there.)

It would be awesome to have a pack meet, but my mom wouldn't like the idea of meeting people I'ev never seen before. I wish I still lived in Texas; then i would be able to drive to where ever the meet would be held.
I could care less if I am a "freak". I don't care what other people think about me. I am me. I am different from the masses of society in unique and profound ways, anyway. Being physically different would trouble me not

Yup yup!!

Got this info from my A-kon newsletter.

PETER MAYHEW — a Media Guest, Peter is best known for playing Chewbacca
in all the Star Wars movies, and yes, he is that tall. For real! He’s
also been doing a bit of voice acting, with his voice appearing the
“Jedi Academy” video game and in “Dragonball GT: the Movie”. He will
also be doing a panel on “How to wear a Costume and BECOME a Character’
— the body carriage of a costume often gives it power, presence and
personality, and nowhere is that seen more than when an actor creates a
character when his own face isn’t part of it. Darth Vader does not look
like Darth Vader when someone other than David Prowse wears the suit.
The same can be said for Chewie. There is a certain way to carry your
body, stand, move, etc. that gives personality to a character that is
exclusive to THAT character. Nobody can teach that to cosplayers better
than somebody who makes their living doing just that — not just “wearing
a fur suit’ but BEING a CHARACTER. Peter will share tips on that
subject with A-Kon folks during our show. Enjoying cons and fans, he
wanted to see what A-Kon was all about, so he’s coming in to soak up the
environment! Cool!

Despite me being an adult I have the same problem; I still live at home and while under their roof I have to do as they say and submit to their worry. They'll worry until I'm 60!

Is there a way to do conference calls with Skype? Skype calls are free between Skype clients. Granted, you have to have broadband, so it wouldn't work for those of you with dial-up. But, it might be a decent workaround for those of you in Australia or the Netherlands, who can't make it to meeting in Texas because of that planet in the way.

Packmeet, hell yes! I'm all for March stuff because that's a down month for me. Not a lot going on. Otherwise I am booked for the year with shows and junk :P Sadly, none of them are in Texas.

For any of yous guys who are going to AnthroCon, however, I'm all for having a Pack get together! We can get sushi or some junk. Stop by my table in the dealer's room and chat with me. I'll let you know if anything is going on :)

ATTENTION EVERYONE

Nobody knows exactly where the meets will or will not be. The only one we know about at all at this point is the one that MIGHT happen at A-Kon, and that's not even official.

It's still very early. Let's not immediately jump to conclusions about whether or not there will be a packmeet near you or not.

As for me, IF I go to A-Kon, it'll be a four hour drive. So, it's not exactly in my backyard or anything. For those of you that live pretty far away from anyone else, you may have to be willing to travel. You don't necessarily have to own a car. Flying is really expensive, but bus tickets and train tickets aren't that bad.

As for those of you who are international, I think your best bet would be to find other werewolf fans from your country and invite them to join this website. More people from your country = greater likelihood that you can have a packmeet. Also, I'm not entirely sure, but I don't think AB is going to plan all the meets. If there's seven people who live in or around Vermont (just an example) who wanna get together and hang out, you don't need AB to plan that for you.

Which is in San Jose, not Australia. :D I am starting to make plans and see if going to Further Confusion is a posability for me next year since I will be in Colorado then so if anyone here is planning on going or looking into going, we might be able to work something out.
