Hi there is currently a chat room that members of the pack are using sucessfully:

It offer seamless chat and has worked fine so far, its not passworded at the moment but there is a private link which you can only get from the chat room itself, so its private enough. anyway heres the link: http://www.chatzy.com/112128966833

By the way, this isn't a rant at the other chat rooms, its just that this is the only one that a few Pack members can acess properly

I say we can add it to the list just so we can all have more options availible, but can people password protect individual names? The biggest issue right now is the identity theft.

I'm always for more options, but with now four different Packchats, I have a feeling that will just lessen the chance we'll eventually have a chat that's "packed" again.

Seriously though, with all the different chats we have, I'm not sure if more is better in this case. That would just make it easier to miss other members if they're in a different chat. If we could all agree on one good chat room that has all the convenience and security features, such as no lag, chat logging, name registration, that may help us the most.

I seem to have missed a lot of Pack members in chat (if I'm not on as Baphnedia, I am usually on as Baph-zzzz or some variation thereof).

And yes, this dragon is still alive.

Make a playstation 3 accesible chat room!!!!!!

Well, it's already possible, considering that one of the members in my chat room logs in through his Xbox. How you'd log in via playstation I don't know (not being the owner of one).

The playstation 3 can not download software like java...

PS 3 doesn't use Java-compatible programming. It seems to be totally unique to the machine, according to my geeky friend. Sorry.

It uses java when playing Blu-Ray movies. (Java for the menus.)

Are you trying the web-based client that's located at: http://kiri.nonexiste.net:2001/ ?
Also, do you have a browser that's at least somewhat recent? (IE 7+, Firefox 2+, etc)
Otherwise you can try using an IRC client and connect to irc.paradice.net and join the channel #pack if you understand how to manually configure an IRC client.

[EDIT] I'll make a new thread and lock this one once the newer client is created and completed. Otherwise the one I stated in the above paragraph is what we're currently using.

I'll probably have to wait until i get a high-speed connection back to check out the channel - drama as of late (sis' BF seeing someone else, money drama, general RL stuff that's out of my control) has left the family situation up in the air, my sis is considering moving out of the house and other stuff that is so yummy for your sanity and whatnot, so i've been on dialup the last 14 weeks come this wednesday and it's been a total PITA not being able to chat with people on a regular basis.

But then again, i've been away for a bit from this board for a while, so i better start making some form of regular correspondence again when things do get back to some semblance of normal around here - or wherever my sis decides to move... whatever's first.

Until then, see you when i get back eventually.
