So, which chat is the one being used? The official one seems to be working, but I can't make head nor tail of it, all the chat seems to be in

What in the world does that say? I can't make it out.

Either way, I'd love to stop by the IRC more, but it's usually dead when I'm there. Hence I tend to not log in...for long periods of time.

I've no idea what it says, so I'm not sure if it's a special font, some variation of leet-speak, or a bad attempt at ASCII art. But that's what I see every time I try to load the pack chat.

This forum is not really designed well for ASCII art, unless you can work around the format. At least, that's how it works for me...

Yeah, but even when I can get into the chatroom, anything I type is converted into brackets and hyphens and stuff.
Is there some special software or font in use?

I type "Anyone in here", and it shows up as

The web-chat just connects to the IRC server, too. For those who want to use an IRC client to make a direct connection...

Server: irc.paradice.net
Port: 6667
When connected, type: /join #pack

Don't forget to set yerself up with nickserv!

And I love the Packchat, I wasn't there for long last night though, but I wanted to be. It's filled with loads of wonderful, wonderful, bubbly, gourmet insane.

Ok, so I managed to get in using ChatZilla, cool.

Yup, I use Chatzilla myself. Almost any IRC client can be used.

Ok, I'm in, but can't type anything without it it saying to use a command instead, and I can't find a generic "chat" command.

The Pack's chat was glorious today, you should all have been there. It was a hive of entertainment, creativity, and simply people smarter than I am saying smart things which I enjoyed reading.

I'll be dropping by there again tomorrow night, perhaps a few more of the board regulars will dare to stop by then, eh? I can hope!

errr did something go wrong? i randomly got kicked from the chat and I don't know why... now I can't get back in. it doesn't say anything, it's just an endless "connecting to chat server" animation.
