I don't see why anyone would want to have offspring. The species isn't going anywhere any time soon. I think it is stupid that society pressures people to procreate when many are not responsible enough to care for another being. I also find it incredibly arrogant when people choose to have tons and tons of kids(like continuing to take fertility drugs after you have 5 or more). Like their genes are so much more awesome than everyone else's.
In short, yes, being a good parent is a very honorable and worthwhile goal, but it is not the ONLY thing you can do with your life that matters.
