Algebra isn't math. It's logic. Take your time and make sure that you understand every part of the equation.
You're probably doing Quadratic Equations: get all the formulas over to one side of the equals sign. Then it'll be easier to do.

So, I'm considering dropping my geek cred by a lot by selling my comics and magazines. I'd forgotten how many I have. It's making me sad, but I really do want to move to the city in preparation for going to school.

And this is just the ones I've had tucked away in my laptop bag or on the left side of my dresser. I've got a lot more on the right side of my dresser and on my bookshelf.
Sigh..I'm gonna get demoted to nooblet for this, but if it works out I should be up a few hundred bucks, even selling if I just manage to sell them for a dollar an issue or something.

Though, I'll probably not sell the Guild Wars guide, since it's full of awesome art, same with my two Hellgate: London issues.

So you can see what I'm talking about...pasted from the For Sale page I'm writing up.

I need alone time, in which my mother does not want to acknowledge no matter how many times I tell her, in fact she does the exact opposite! , I suppose I'm in a slump..... which I guess happens to a lot of teens...but no one will leave me alone! which makes me feel even worse, and unfortunately I'm acting out in an aggressive manner, what should I do? :(

As a man who also values his privacy, I can see where you're coming from. Something that may help calm the situation is looking at it from your mom's perspective. Not knowing her, I couldn't give exact details, but many mothers see long stretches of solitude as indications of a serious problem. In all likelihood, she's trying to reach out to you and remind you that you're not expected to face life's horrors alone.

She needs to show affection as much you need to receive it. Remember the pack mentality. A wolf is part of the pack and each member has their place.

I am so broke. The heat bills are kicking my butt. And now I owe the state almost $200. And I'm supposed to be saving to move in August. And my computer just got a virus and had to be wiped completely. Ugh.

Well, the best idea is to clarify the situation, make sure to fill her in on what's up, rather than speak monosyllabic two-word sentences. If so far you've been screaming "You don't understand!" and running into your room to play Linkin Park loudly while you cut yourself, then you could probably benefit from some rational discourse. It's probably not going to hurt to tell her that you're okay, but Y'kth'lathak isn't going to summon himself, so you need some quiet time. Don't quote me on that, I'm not actually a therapist.

Chances are that letting her know that you don't think she's in the wrong might help as well, so she doesn't assume you're retreating to your dragon's tomb to get reprieve from the shrill cacophony of her afternoon sing-along sessions with the radio, rather than just to get some time to clear your head.
Alternatively, going for a walk or something might help, and has the additional plus of being exercise. After a while, if things are still bad, you'll be in much better shape to punch some faces. :)

One thing I've seen is that people assume that others do not understand, or they assume something based on the (lack of) evidence without stopping to verify it.

I miss the little kid I'd occasionally see while walking around town, she'd embarrass her mother to no end by pointing and loudly saying "There's the sad man!". The funny part is that I've got no idea who she is, and every time she did it I wasn't feeling sad.

That was my attempt at a good deed, make of it what you will.

Well, first tell your Mom why you need time alone. An explanation saves a lot of hurt feelings. I suspect your mom doesn't realize that you are less a child now, and more an adult; and you need the time alone to see just who this new person is.
I suspect your mom will understand that, since it probably happened to her, too.

Basically, deal from a position of shared knowledge; not secrecy. Secrecy tends to upset parents, because they always imagine the worst.

Just a hint...

Post-Convention depression sucks. One day you're having fun and relaxing, the next you're sitting at your desk at work, anticipating the next convention for another 365 days. Blah.

My solution? Go to more than one convention a year. A-Kon ahoy.

I know how you feel. Not necessarily conventions but with band shows. It's killer waiting around for Halloween. But at least you can plan and organize in the mean time.

If you do all that you can, for as long as you can keep doing it; nobody will have any reason to complain.

Which doesn't mean they won't; they just won't have a proper reason to do so.

Hey...
...
My dog passed away last Tuesday. Her name was lucky... she died in her sleep.
She'd been sick for a few days before... we think it might have been cancer...
For a few days before this, i'd been crying alot...i had a feeling she wasn't going to make it. THen, as a passing thought, i thought she was going to die in her sleep... she did...

 I'm sorry it's just... she used to spend a lot of time in the hall way... i keep expecting to see her... mmm... i'll be okay but...

Nevermind... that's just the reason i haven't been on in a while... that and there really wasn't anything interesting lately... but for the last week that's why...

Had a sad surprise yesterday...

My friend and I were about to leave for work that morning, and I found my cat Tigger, dead, underneath my pickup. :(

He's the striped one in this picture, his brother (the black one) died a little over a year ago:

http://img11.imageshack.us/img11/8761/36822583.jpg

What has me more shaken up than anything is the moment I realized what had happened...which I'm not too sure I want to convey here, but I have to somewhere. He was pristine, looked just like he was cooling off in the shade under my truck on a hot morning. I reached out to lightly pull his paw....and he stiffly dragged...odiefwiogjoidjodifu093u0fewijojgoiwhfhegofh.

He wasn't very old (10 years, almost on the day), and had been seemingly healthy as soon as the day before, just like his brother before he had heart issues and had to be put to sleep. But... from the looks of it, some time that night or morning, he lied down underneath my truck like he would on a sunny day, and just died suddenly.

But, if anything, he died quickly and peacefully. At least that much I can reassure myself with. :(

Awwh! I'm so sorry Howlz. I dread the day any of my current felines pass away, and it's so terrible that you had to discover his death in...such a manner. What a harrowing experience.

You have my deepest condolences.

I have had a similer experiance in a sense. We used to have a cat called Shadow, only 6 when he died. He was normal before flopped on the floor and later for no reason..he was just dead. Ugh, I remember it like it was yesteday. I know how awful it is. :/

I know how painful it is Howlitzer, I wish you my condolences. :( I hope he had a good life.

My favorite feline, Opie, suffered from kidney failure earlier this week.

We put him to sleep earlier today. I stayed up with him all last night, and personally laid his dead corpse into his grave. I was with him the entire time, and he was in so much pain.

I can't stop crying; I miss him so much already.

I'm so sorry to hear that :(
The same exact thing happened with me and our 14 year old cat, Cody. Its an awful thing to go through.

I'm sure he had a very good life with you.
