chance to be a werewolf. would you do it?

Post by Anubis »

hey if you got a chance to become a werewolf, but there is a very good chance that you won't surive the bite, seremony, spell, what ever. would you do it?
my personal opinion is that i'll do it in a heart beat. i rather die than be human another minute. how about you?

Frankly, I wouldn't. Not if there was even, say, as little as 5 or 10% chance I wouldn't make it through the process. And that's even assuming that the werewolves in question are exactly everything I could hope. Not to mention, lycanthropy would likely be a huge disadvantage in this life.

There is very little in life important enough that I would stake my life on the mere chance of obtaining it.

Assuming we're talking about about the ideal version usually spoken about in these forums; sure, why not. Life without some risk is boring.

The only question is: where would I get a werewolf-sized flea collar?

Edit: Elaboration is good.

Not being able to have sex unless the alpha allows it.....Ok, I said forget it already!

Well, it all depends on the circumstances. If suddenly I was given an opperatunity to become a morphic wolf, I would need to know whether it was permenent or not, what dangers there were inherent to it.

Then there's the more practical concerns.

Would I still be able to have children? How accepted would I be in the world? What would my religion think about it?

Then there's the biggest concern of all..... Would girls find my gesalt form sexy. I'm kidding of course, but whether my speciel-someone still found me attractive in such a form would be a definite concern. After all, she would have to live with it.

Okay, if all of those concerns were put to rest, then, yeah sure. I mean, ultimately it wouldn't be all that much different then, really, REALLY drastic cosmetic surgery.

Wouldn't probably do it. The idea is nice and I might want to risk it ( with good chances ), but in reality it would be too troublesome. The world wouldn't accept you and only thing you could do to survive would be hidind. Not to mention that you couldn't just go around spreading lycantropy.

Vote yes on Proposition LV

Post by Scott Gardener »

I voted yes.

I figure that as I am now, I'll have a great life, but a relatively normal one. Not one that I'll mind having, but it's not ground-breaking.

Literal lycanthropy would involve breaking outside the familiar, mundane realm altogether, and thus would introduce the opportunity to explore a different kind of existance.

Yes. There. Is. Risk. But. Think. Of. The. Possibilities! (Insert James T. Kirk speech.)
Taking a Gestalt approach, since it's the "in" thing...

I voted yes as well. Though the trouble of hiding it will be a pain. I don't think it will be a problem anyway because I am inside most of the time and in my room (either drawing or sleeping  ) and where I live have alot of woods and junk. I feel like a woodsgirl. :?
