I'm afraid I agree with the statement that the Message Boards are dying. It's more than a year since I only visit to see if there are any updates on the film. The topics are becoming more and more meaningless and I feel that there simply isn't anything else that can be said about the subject that we haven't heard before.
The only way I know to resurrect the Forums is the extend the thematic range. There are countless fictional creatures embodying our fears and hopes that can be discussed. Of course, many of the members have reasons for leaving which cannot be fixed this way. Other members might just not be interested in the new topics as well, but why not to try?
Generally, when one thinks a forum is dead/dying/etc. it's better to make an interesting or such than go "Hey, it's dying".
Because it's kinda like seeing someone getting hurt and saying "Someone call 911!" instead of doing it yourself. Unless someone actually steps up and does it instead assuming someone else will the whole thing is a waste of time that would have been better spent doing it yourself.
To twist a quote from Mark Twain; "The death of this Forum has been somewhat overanticipated."
Like anything else, Boards have ups and downs. Things will pick up around here fairly soon.
At least there haven't been any fights! That is a good thing.
RedEye: The Wulf and writer who might really be a Kitsune...
Considering how many active topics are on here and how many people actually post on a regular to semi-regular basis suggests that this forum isn't dead. It's better designed than some of the stuff I've seen for forums.
I'm working on a werewolf novel, while liking to stay up late at night and going to college. I'm going to be sleep-deprived when this is all said and done.
Anthony Brownrigg, I hope you have the best of luck with Freeborn. RedEye, I also wish you the best of luck with Wulfen Blood. And for a bit of luck for both of you...
