Definitely slowing down. During a season where werewolf stuff is rampant too! For shame.

I think it's proportionate to the amount of news we get about Freeborn. I could be wrong though.

Or maybe we're getting burnt out. We have no inspiration! Or everything's already been discussed? I'm personally still chugging along though.

Even the creative writing forum... my old story had a sizable following, but now only Scott Gardener's paying attention. (poke nudge :P )

It is rather slow here, we need more general conversation, that is how a lot of forums maintain how busy they stay, it may have a theme yet they talk about anything, I go to a forum that never runs out of anything to discuss, it is possible for that here as well.

Matt, any place that you find that has topics that are easy to discuss?

We do need something here.

The matter is that things get hectic around the holidays. Relatives and friends come over and the problem is that they would think some of us have 'issues' for being on this forum. At least in the region I'm at. People also could get disinterested because of the posers coming in. But not every person who finds this forum during the autumn is a poser.

Then there's school, work (since many like taking vacations during winter and summer), and trying to make sure you don't get your house egged. (Not that this ever happens to me, I'm just saying.)
I'm working on a werewolf novel, while liking to stay up late at night and going to college. I'm going to be sleep-deprived when this is all said and done. :sleepy:

Anthony Brownrigg, I hope you have the best of luck with Freeborn. RedEye, I also wish you the best of luck with Wulfen Blood. And for a bit of luck for both of you... :ducktoss3:

Honestly I can't name anyone who has joined this forum in the past few months who could be considered a "poser."

Erm...I joined like two weeks ago...does that count?
What can create a new system, or destroy an old one? What can change the lives of everyone who touches it? What can strengthen the whole world, or shake it to its very roots? What can create whole nations, and change the course of history?

An idea.

I think we've already been through the whole "everything has been discussed" and "the forum is dead" phase before.

Would you prefer Camp Lycanthrope was dying?

If a forum is inactive even when it has so many devotees, that could be taken as a sign that at least the majority of its registered members have lives outside the forum, which is supposed to be a good thing.

It has gotten stale. There are just no interesting topics anymore.
And I am going to give voice to what I think a lot of us are thinking- That Freeborn is just not going to happen.

This has happened a few times before with The Pack. There will be kindof long, deadish periods for a bit. It always pulled out of that before, so hopefully things will liven up again soon :D
Personaly, I've been/am going to school 5 days a week, so thats what been keeping me busy. :P

A update from AB or Silver would be a great way to get things going again imho, but they sortof disapered. I know AB has a bunch of new projects he has been working on...Hope your wrong Pariah, though I've been having my doubts too :(

Well, if nothing else, the Pack has allowed me to meet a bunch of cool people, so it hasn't been a waste, but I do wish we could get the movie we all want to see!

Ironically as the posts per day decrease, the number of regulars on the IRC PackChat have increased. We have about +6 regulars now, when there were only two (Lupin and myself) during summer. Otherwise, there has also been quite an increase in new users recently as well in contrary to how it was a few months ago or so.

It would be very exciting to hear from AB, since I just joined in the summer.

But yeah, school 5 days a week kinda gets you busy, and I tend to forget about my own e-mail.

I'm a workaholic. 8 to 5 on weekdays, freelance 3D animation work on the weekends. Just building a savings and keeping busy in doing so. Most of my freetime is spent with friends rather than playing on the computer. Though the slower hours I get at work actually is what I spend on this and other forums.

Anyways, this forum is far from dead. Dead implies that nobody posts at all, or hardly at all. I see around several dozen new posts on here every day. Whether someone finds the topics interesting doesn't seem like the deciding factor of if the forum is "dead" or not, in my opinion.

Aww, you just became a finalist in a pretty big contest for the CL script. That is pretty damn good; it should get more people intrested in it as well.

Workaholism from my end. I'd be more active if I weren't working 80 fracking hours a week. I'm changing that, though, and getting rid of my worst location. I got a pretty good pay raise on a much calmer place, but I won't get to book many hours there until next year.

I suspect Anthony got pulled away on this "Shamequins" thing; we'll know more when he reappears, such as what the heck is it, anyway?!? When he works on a project, he disappears into it, sometimes for months. I'm sure once Freeborn gets funding, there will be times when his other friends are sick of hearing about werewolves.

We can't blame the holidays, though, because they haven't started, yet. Rather, I think the September rush of school and job changes have kept a lot of us down to the bare essentials, popping in to rush through topics without really making much new material, with a few notable exceptions--thanks, Berserker, for keeping the torch lit! I've got some ideas to post to the creative department, but I can't bloody get to them until this oppressive work week is done. Next week, I'll have more freedom.
