I'm wiping my harddrive clean today and re-imageing it. Windows is bugged up, and I can only open programs from shortcuts in Explorer (among a multitude of other problems). I can still use college computers, but I can't check for activation e-mails until it's fixed. I'll let yall know how it goes. Hopefully everything will work once I reload the software. Well... toodles.

My computer is down for the moment and I cant use my windows 98 cd to reformat and reinstall xp. I will try to use my friends xp to fix my computer. If not then I will have to wait untill christmas to buy a legal copy of windows xp pro which Im planning on doing anyway because Im tired of not having any updates for XP, this is the reason why I get so many virus attacks and unstable computer which has forced me to reinstall windows every four weeks or less. I might ask as a an early christmas gift.

I have asked Figarou give me back my Moderator position. As an Admin, it turns out I don't have the time on hand to devote to activating member accounts. I may ask to step in again to help in that department once I graduate from college this December. I'm sorry to those that needed the help the most, but my college and work takes priority above all else.

I'd give up my Moderator job too if I couldn't visit here every day. Luckilly, I have an hour or two between classes to log on and sneak around. I can't access my e-mail from the college though. (Nor do I want to waste the time and gas driving the 10 miles back and forth from the college.)

Friends —

Computer's being *very* weird. Spontaneous shutdowns, screen de-rezzing, schtuff like that.

I'm going to be offline for about a week or so while the Rent-a-Nerd guy has a go at it.

Type atcha later.

...I wasn't aware that you "decide" to be a therian.

I hope you see the sarcasm there.
'Cause you don't really decide to be a therian.

Maybe a furry. Or part of Totemism.
But, not a therian.

i can understand your doubt, but the matter is, i always felt unusually personalty and spirtually but since i was raised in a very conservative and sheltered environment, i never really could make sense of it, but after finally being opened up to the world, i realized what i am after intense thought processes
unlike most people who say they are but are not
I will defend my decisioning to the ends of the earth

It should be less DECIDED and more ACCEPTED or REALIZED.

I'm not good with grammar, I'm a 16 year old kid who does not no his proper word usage very well, i apologize for that
but I am absolutely certain in my realization over the last 3 weeks,
of course i should have remember how Therian are very touchy with those who said decided like it was just a after thought or a decision rather then a discovery, a logical fault on my side

Well, we had a development yesterday.

I'm having some bone pain near the site of my radiation treatments a couple years ago.

Doctor thinks that there's an outside chance my cancer may have spread to my pelvic bone, specifically the sacro-iliac.

He ordered a CT scan and a bone scan. Didn't happen today, might happen Friday, will most likely happen next week.

Let's keep our fingers crossed that the scleratic spots on my pelvis are just osteoporosis. Lying face-down getting my glutei maximii sequentially and chemically torn apart is not my idea of spending a fun year.

OH, crap. Our prayers are with you. May this just be one of those brief "I'm glad that was nothing" things that we all get from time to time.

Yeah, never thought I'd pray for osteoarthritis. :|

Another stumbling block: my health insurance provider dropped me and wants $1600 cash to reinstate me. I can't get the scans until that's cleared up; yeah, 16 C-notes is hard to come up with but the scans would be $4000. No chance in hell of coming up with that, so I'll bite the smaller bullet.

And...if worse comes to worst, it probably means I'll have to do a hip replacement. That's good: colon cancer usually mets out to the liver and sometimes the pancreas. Hip easier to replace than a liver or pancreas, and no-one has to die.

*Sigh* We need to grow organs from stem cells. The Xtian Right can just shut the hell up and sit down.

Must... avoid... transhumanist philosophy rant...

GASP!

But, I agree; there's a lot of research that needs to be done, and we need to convince some people that God doesn't mind our doing it.

Yeah, Shadow Wulf, I thought I was in the clear, too. But that's why the doc keeps doing the venipuncture thing and checking and ordering scans and meeting with me. They don't consider you cancer-free until five years post-diagnosis.

And this could all be academic, it could turn out to be plain ol' osteoarthritis. We won't know until I get the scans done, and that'll happen as soon as Regence-Blue Cross likes me again. Keeping fingers crossed in the meantime.

And looking back on my last post...apologies to any Christians on the board, that was a little harsh. So let's close that discussion before Kaebora has to intervene

whenever you have cancer, theres always that chance it could come back, anything could set it off, I'm just glad you can still pay for insurance, but your also slightly lucky, since you could have had it reemerge 4 times like my grandma's breast cancer, best wishes

Hey, I knew a guy who had 10 brain surgeries. He died last summer. And I do think I'm lucky, because as I said — hipbone easier to replace than liver.
