Starcraft 2 official site

The long awaited sequel to Starcraft has finally arrived (or, will finally arrive, heh!). This strikes me as pretty awesome. There's even new units, and reworkings of old units. The screenshots and gameplay looks very much like the original Starcraft - though graphically updated.

All in all, it's looking pretty bad a**.

I have been complaining about Blizzard for ages about how I'm sick of World of Warcraft. Diabolo got it's sequel... and it's Starcrafts turn. FINALLY!!! *evil laugh*

I've heard that blizzard is going to also make a MMO based off of star craft, WOS? Though it's not confirmed but blizzard is making another MMO.

If it's a World of StarCraft, I'm sure to buy it.

And the second starcraft game looks awesome! The cematic trailer got me excited (I love the sound track on that thing). I may how to check it out.

Actually that's just a rumor. There has been no such news officially released by Blizzard about a Starcraft MMORPG.

Yeah.

I think Blizz has enough brains to realize Starcraft would translate horribly as an MMO. An FPS or Battlefield 1942 kinda deal, hell yeah. MMO? Hell no.

If they did something kind of like Elite, Freelancer, or X3: Reunion, the franchise would fit right in. Perhaps maybe even have the ability to go planetside with your ship and equipment too. That would be cool.

Oh, BTW: Blizzard released a 21 minute gameplay thing. Check it out, it's pretty awesome.

It's like, OMFGBBQ awesome. The protoss kinda star it, as the player is Protoss, but the Zerg and Terrans get to show off some new tricks - like rocketpack marines and exploding zerglings.

As sad as I am to admit it, I shed a tear of joy when I watched the video of blizz unveiling it for the first time. SC was my first addiction and will always hold a special spot.

Interesting changes to Starcraft. Ability to choose some units prior to a mission, choose missions, talk with other characters, side plots. Oh, and Jimmy's new look is damn cool. Beats his shaved basket-ball head, heh heh. It also seems you actually play Jimmy in the Terran campaign instead of an anonymous commander.

Have to wonder how that'll all translate for Zerg and Protoss campaigns. Play Kerrigan and chat with mindless Zerglings?

I think in my opinion thats the old one am I right because when I PLAYED STARCRAFT THE GRAPHICS WERE PRETTY BAD. I didnt even know they had starkraft in 3d.

For its time, the graphics of SC1 were extraordinarily good. For a game that has no 3D graphics, its very good looking.
