My favourite game with werewolves in it, even tho I wouldn't classify is as a RPG, is Gabriel Knight 2: The Beast Within. I find the werewolf design rather nice, if badly pasted on the background, it is not well-animated, and the anatomy is rather odd at times, but in some scenes it works real well. I have a weakness for quadruped werewolves, I guess

As a RPG, Morrowind is my favorite. The pure freedome in it is awesome. As is its' Construction Set, which people have done amazing things with (Including a mod that added Werewolves - Before the Bloodmoon expansion came out. Cool, no?)

Fable is a nice RPG too, people diss it for not living up to hype, but it actually IS a nice game.

Getting drunk in it is SOOO cool. :laddie:

But then youi go all

Faverite RPG with a werewolf in it? That'd probably be Phantom Brave. Werewolves are a playable race in it and are fairly well designed to boot... though it does take some work to unlock em.

Are those actual book-based games or V-RPG? I could have sworn that Morrowind was a video game? o.o

Is there a book-based version?? o.o *drooles*

Morrowind's a Video game, and to my knowledge no book version.

Though i've heard of people trying to convert it to DnD type rules...hehe.

They encountered problems when it came to alighments, as Morrowind's world is rather...grey..when it comes to that. :D

*nods and sighs*

Ya see this is where my personal hackles get raised, because I was "raised" on Table top, bok style rpg's. When people say RPG and I ask what system, half teh time they tell me NES or somethign like that!

>.< GAK

I've had people ask me simialr questions and I've answered them as a table top RPG player, only to get weird looks.

Its like, "sOOOooOOoorry! Sheesh, I don't play lots of Video games."

*chuckles*

When it comes ot those I'm more of a Tatics/rpg player. ^.^ I guess I get out too much eh? :)

Altered Beast was not an RPG. It was a classic old sidescroller/Brawler where you are raised from the dead and would trandform into a powerful creatrue if you collected enough powerups. (Including a Dragon, A tiger , a Bear and, of course, a Werewolf.)

Altered Beast was a cool game. The only thing I hate about it is that its to short. (Game ends to quickly)

Well i like BUFFY rpg and ANGEL rpg from Eden Studios. Eden also has a game Witchcraft with Werewolves, renamed Ferals because there are many types of were-creature Ferals.

The BUFFY/Angel Werewolves are not bad, just add in Regeneration and few other abilities you'd like. Angel allows you to make custom Demon Packages, so you have the tools to make your own custom Werewolf breed if you wish. Howling, Underworld, American Werewolf in London/Paris, Cursed, Silver Bullet and so on, could all be just different breeds of Werewolves in the game and exist at the same time.
Witchcraft's Ferals however are closer to you movie Werewolves already. Accursed, Reconsiled, Inborn types.

I used to use White Wolf's Werewolf the Apoc...all the time. I still love it though, i just found a better rpg for Werewolves. Unisystem.
Gurps has several types of Werewolves, the Shapeshifter sourcebook versions (way to many to say here), a White Wolf Lienced GURPS:Werewolf the Apoc...Sourcebook which was much better than the White Wolf version to be honest.

So if you have not checked them out, please do :
Buffy, Angel, Witchcraft.

well... I've never played an RPG where the character was a Werewolf by game standards...

However, In the game City of Heroes/City of Villians, you can create a character using the "beast" type costumes, where you can use Monsterous hands, feet, chest and fur, and head. Of course, if you get it right, you can have a character who's main costume is a human, but his second costume is a were.

What's even better, is the Costumes are more the Vicious Werewolf Look.

And I've also been looking into getting Oblivion, as My cosuin showed me it once And I thought it was actually prett cool ((though he hates it cause he can't get past character creation)) so if they did release an Expansion that allowed for Weres, I would be all over it.

The best werewolf RPG for me was Werewolf: The Apocalypse (either LARP or tabletop); although it was usually run in conjunction with a few local vampire groups - etc. The World of Darkness was rather complete (to a point). If we ran into problems with the system itself, we'd solve those on our own, within our group.
