I will be there. I went to this puppy long before The Pack and Freeborn came along, but that last one was definitely one of the best, right up there with the one I left so I could go to my medical school graduation. (Yes, during A-Kon X, I went to the convention a student and left a doctor.)

I'll be there. I would offer a room to someone at my house, but I doubt my parents would like that.

I sure would like to meet you. But I can't afford to go to 2 conventions. I also need to save a few days of my vacation for the Freeborn premiere. Maybe we can meet there.

Definitely taking off the days of the Freeborn premiere if there's any major events surrounding it. If there's a grand opening at, say, a theater in Dallas, I'll try to be there.

Mean time, A-Kon 17 or bust!

I really-really-really wanna go.

Now it's just planning and financing said trip and finding other souls who wanna accompany me (and split a hotel room).

My objective one is to pay off the credit card first, though.

Yay for objectives!

I am SO there! I've been to the last three A-Kons, and I'm going to fly down for my fourth. I wouldn't miss it for the world. One question though. Would anyone recognize me from this forum? I doubt it. I guess I'm not a very frequent poster after all. (I read it all the time though.)

Well, I just found out I'm a guest at this years A-Kon as well. Hmm, I didn't even know they invited me this year. I guess it's an assumed thing, so I'll see everyone there.

Also I'm a guest at "CageCon" in dallas the first weekend of this december. www.cagecon.com

Hmmmm....that convention is new. (1st year Cagecon1)

There is no way I can make it. I'm working that weekend. :(

And I can see why you're a guest.
CAGEcon is a project put together by Meri Davis from Phoenix Entertainment (the folks who put on A-Kon every year)

Damn. It isn't until I move that all these cool new conventions start popping up. All we had up until two years ago was A-Kon as far as I knew. Now there's Cage Con, Wizard World, and Quake Con. Ugh. So many conventions, so little time...er money. Whichever comes first. LoL!

I'll be in Dallas Texas for the week of Christmas. I doubt there are any events at that time though.

BTW... Figarou, you're in the background of one of my pictures from A-Kon 16! After I saw you in that video I knew you were familiar. You were in the dealers room holding a CD or something when I was photographing some friends. Too bad I didn't know who you were at the time. I only joined this forum shortly afterwards.

A CD? I remember having my video camera in my hand. But I didn't buy anything from the dealers room. I found nothing of interest. :(

Or it could have been one of your duckies. :missed:

Seriously though, are you going to bring a rubber ducky as a prop? Everyone has a prop at those conventions. (I'm making mine. I'll show it here when it's finished.)

Depending on how things go with finding a job, I might drive up there for a day, but I can't say anything beyond that.

Ah, crap-a-roni! I'm working Friday and Sunday the weekend of CageCon. I had never heard of it until just now, otherwise I would have reserved that weekend!

Oh, well. See you at A-Kon!
