Dragon-Con

Post by nekocj »

Are any of you guys going to DragonCon this year? Aug. 31-Sept. 3? I want to go to A-kon, but...it's so far away and I don't know anyone that will go with me. *embarrassed* I don't want to go there alone. Um...anyone need a roomy for the hotel? Anyone here live in Orlando and would like to travel with me? :o

If not then...maybe some of you will go to DragonCon? Does Mr. Brownrigg ever go to any conventions? I would love to meet him, and Figarou, and SilverPaw and everyone else :D

ABr does go to A-kon. Not sure what others he might get to. DC actually sounds like a lot of fun. I'd like to go depending on what my situation is at that time. I'm about to finally have my degree and get a real job, so if I can scrape together enough money for gas and a hotel I definately wouldn't mind going. I know ShadowSaber usually makes that one.

He did Anthrocon in 2005, but couldn't make 2006. He also did something called "CAGECon" (Comic And Gaming Expo) around December 2005. It was put on by Phoenix Entertainment, the same people who do A-Kon, as a one-time thing. Silver and Meri Davis, the president of A-Kon's organizers, are close associates, and Silver is one of the people who runs the con, so it's safe to expect the Brownriggs to be there each year, as well as having a high probability of occurrence at other events run by Phoenix.

I'm dragging a couple other Pack members (and several Paradice Net members) over to Dragon Con this year. Finally - I'm not the first person posting about it this time around. :D

It'll be a good time to be back in black.

Probably, you'd go crazy. Go look at the schedules http://www.dragoncon.org for details (or the guest list, or the activities, etc. When they speak of exhibitors and art halls, they are Big.

I am going to try and go. My girlfriend really wants me to go with her and her mom and niece I just need to look at my finances and get them straightened out. Too late for pre-ordered tickets and the main hotel and one of the overflow hotels are already full :p wish me luck and hope that I can go too!!! ^^

Wish I could do it, but there's too much going on right now. With a bit more planning, it may be doable next year.

A-kon is all well and good, especially since there are a TON of pack members that go to that.

Speaking of Dragon Con, I have a few things to put out...
- Saturday Night I'll be playing: http://www.thepack.network/thepackboard ... php?t=5954
- Some other time I'll be at the Heaven and Hell Records Table doing autograph-thingies.
