....I thought that the point was that the one who answers the riddle has the right to post the next one?

<_< >_>

It's been a couple days and I haven't seen a new one by Lupin, so I'll take a stab at the one Anirbas posted.

I pretty sure it was supposed to be 'cloud.'

Oh h***, I messed things up again....

How did the riddle go again, Anirbas?

I can take the shapes of many things.
In the forms of birds or ships I'm most commonly clad.
Many people watch me.
I can be either good or bad.
From water, I am bright and happy.
From miasma, I am dark and sad.
One can walk through me when the day is gloomy,
or I can block one's view on a sunny day.
During winter I bring good cheer,
during summer I take it away.
I have been given as a name to humans,
I have been called a bad omen on a traveler's way.

But Vilkacis is right the answer is clouds.

Sorry about that.

I'm a bit loaded down at the moment, so if someone else wants to post one, feel free. Otherwise I'll try to make another one up within the next few days.

I am greater than a man, yet smaller than an ant. I will live eras longer than a man, yet my life is mere blink of an eye, flash of light. Yet I will be known in the distant places long after my death, as my echos travel through this world. My memory reaches from the beginning of the world to the end of it, where all melts or stretches to a new world. What am I?

Any guesses?

I am so not going to believe that this would be too hard for you....

A star, perhaps?

I don't think it fits all of the clues, but it's all I can think of right now.

That is actually correct.

I was occasionally speaking metaphorically....

Perhaps I should explain it...
I am greater than a man, yet smaller than an ant.
This refers to the fact that a star is enormous, but yet very small when compared to, say, universe.
I will live eras longer than a man, yet my life is mere blink of an eye, flash of light.
There are some objects in space that would exist longer than say, our own Sun.
Yet I will be known in the distant places long after my death, as my echos travel through this world.
The light that comes from stars can be seen across a galaxy and further for a long, long time after.
My memory reaches from the beginning of the world to the end of it, where all melts or stretches to a new world.
This is about the 'fact' of the Big Bang, and of the theory that claims that in the end all the stars and substance will come around together and cause another 'Big Bang'.

This is how I thought it.

Ok no one has posted one for a while so I will take a stab at it.

With pointed fangs it sits in wait,
With piercing force it doles out fate,
Over bloodless victims proclaiming its might,
Forever joining in a single bite.
What is it?
