I suppose I dislike dreaming, since when I wake up all the stuff I dreamed about, the good, the bad, and even the worst, doesn't exist. I woke up today, fired up my computer, and had a facepalm moment when I tried to load up a program that doesn't exist, to continue some artwork that's impossible for me to even start with the tools I have now. It's a little depressing, you know? But for a few minutes there I actually felt happy, so I guess it was worth it.

It's turning into one of those days when I actually feel lonely. I don't much care for these days.

Gah... I loved XMO:Wolverine. The ending didn't seem finished, but I liked that aspect. It's an "origin" story, so of course there's no ending. And, SPOILERS, if you want, stay after the credits. XD

I live in a somewhat small town south of wausau in wisconsin and we haven't had any celebrities come by, except Orlando Bloom was in Junction City once. I could have seen him too! One of my dad's friends needed a ride and she lived across the street from where they were shooting! WAHHHHHHH!
Oh well, the celebrities we get are jazz artists and singers, and maybe one or two during our trivia contest. Anyone heard of it?

It is entirely possible that you're microsleeping, where you're asleep for anywhere between half a second and half a minute, and usually don't recall having gone to sleep or waking up, time just seems to fly. It's a primary factor in how tried drivers will see stuff "jump out" at them, since their brain skips over the short time they were asleep, so everything seems to have jumped forwards.

There have been people claiming to have been awake for years, and in all likelihood they're probably microsleeping for an hour or more each day, divided up into tiny segments.

But yeah, it's worth getting checked out, as there could be an underlying cause that's more serious than just not sleeping.

I was testing the silver format board style, which works again, a couple years ago it was broken which I figured out when I could not post for weeks on end because no one knew what it could be, so I figured out it was the board format.

Apparently you're all breaking the law.

U.S. Copyright law is quite explicit that the making of what are called "derivative works" -- works based or derived from another copyrighted work -- is the exclusive province of the owner of the original work. This is true even though the making of these new works is a highly creative process. If you write a story using settings or characters from somebody else's work, you need that author's permission.

Yes, that means almost all "fan fiction" is arguably a copyright violation. If you want to publish a story about Jim Kirk and Mr. Spock, you need Paramount's permission, plain and simple.

This isn't new, which is why there's the ever-popular "No copyright infringement is intended, blah, blah, not for profit, X is the property of Y..."

If you look around, some authors have made a statement on fanfic at one point or another, last I checked Anne Rice said she'll bring the hammer down on you, and I'm pretty sure a lot of other authors don't officially endorse fanfics people make of their works, to help avoid the "WTF, this is my storyline, and AUTHOR X didn't give me credit for it!" problem if they write something very similar to a fanfic someone made.

So, being technical, fanfic authors aren't breaking the law as long as they aren't claiming it as their own and the copyright holders haven't specifically made derivative works illegal, which is a nice grey area if they haven't officially mentioned anything about fanfics.

Or something like that, 4:30 am, not at my peak law-pondering ability.
