Checking in!

Post by MechanicalHyena »

Hey folks. As is obvious from this post, I'm new here.

Quick intro:
-I'm American, from Michigan
-I'm an actress
-I'm a special effects makeup artist
-I'm a 2D artist
-I love special effects, movies, hyenas, monster makeup and WEREWOLVES!
-My favorite TV shows are the X-Files and Warehouse 13
-I found this place from a post on DeviantArt from a werewolf group

I'm excited to be here, and am looking forward to any way that I can contribute! Mostly I'll be spreading the word to my other werewolf fan clubs about the forum and the projects here. I'm so very glad I found this place!

And what's this about duckies? ;-)

YouTube video: Duckies Explained

Was it Werewolves At Heart? Glad you found us! Doubly so if you're into film-making, since that's how The Pack first got started and the driving force for our reawakening. Keep an eye out in the months ahead for the public auditions.

Thanks for the duckie video! The youtube page is quite helpful.

The group was actually Werewolf-Horror, fans of werewolves in the horror genre.

And yes, very into film making. Especially prosthetics and monster makeup. It's what I went to school for, actually.

I went to school for animation/film and had a number of friends who did the (what the coursed was called ) IDT (Industrial Design Tech), which covered such things as prostethics and such. My best bud and roomie made a replica of "The Chamberlin" from the old Jim Henson flick, "The Dark Crystal". :) It's so good to see another such talent as yours here! I know it takes passion and dedication to do that kind of work. ^.^

Welcome!

I take it you seen the video. But there is something I know that's not explained in that video.

When that post appeared about calling us "duckies," I wanted to see if duckies can be added to the forum. I knew we will not be called "duckies." Plus, that post will be long forgotten. So I started that tossing duckies craze. I was typing it in like this--> *tosses duckie at.....* I was also adding more wolf emoticons to the forum. I decided to add duckies to the animation since it's better than typing an action. After that, it caught on big time! I even created my very own werewolf character that tosses duckies at people. I had so much fun over the years. I love it when people come to a werewolf forum and gets confused when they see duckies. Seeing duckies is a better joke than being called "duckies."

Agreed! It's an "in joke" that shows just how long someone has been around. ;)

I remember my first time here, i was /warned/ about Figarou! XD Then I got hit by duckies in the forum. ;) Ah yes, those were the days. *giggles*

She won a Type O Negative concert contest to meet the band. They didn't know what a Skesis was. They just thought it was cool. ;)
