It's been such a long time.

Wow. Just ... wow. I'm getting such a rush of nostalgia right now. I can't believe that this place is still going, and I'm glad to hear that new progress is being made on Freeborn.

Indeed. Um, quick intro: I'm Gevaudan, and I used to be a frequent member of The Pack between 2008-2010, but I lost interest and meandered away from the forum. My last post was on Sunday, Mar 28, 2010, at 10:31 pm. A little over two years ago. Wow. The reason I came back here to post was because last night I was talking with my friend who is going to room with me next year, and the conversation turned towards how the internet affected our development and maturation through middle school and high school. I talked about how when I was younger the internet fed into my various interests in anime, roleplaying, music, furries, and werewolves. I'm a bit of a weirdo, aren't I? Anyway, it was a good conversation, and it got me thinking: I haven't been on The Pack in a long, long, long time, so I just wanted to check up on you guys!
:D

So basically, this forum played a significant role in my social development through my freshman, sophomore, and junior years of high school. I've went from being a generic Catholic to a hard-core Catholic, then a Christian, then a deist, and then an atheist (which is where I remain now, but I've also grown even there). I went from being a liberal to a hard-core liberal, then a Ron Paul libertarian, then an anarcho-capitalist, and then an Austrian libertarian, and now my political viewpoints are a bit of a mixed bag of liberalism, progressivism, libertarianism, anarchism, socialism, capitalism, mutualism, and lots of other stuff. A bit strange, but I've gotten to the point where I just like looking at lots of ideas and seeing how they work. I've done lots of theater and my high school musical in my senior year won Best Musical in a city-wide competition, and I also took home Best Actor. I'm probably going to aim for a bachelor of sciences in economics (lots of math), I'm loving college life, and I've got lots of friends both here and from high school with whom I still keep in contact.

Now that I'm finishing up my freshman year in college, and as I turn 19 this coming April 19th, I both cringe at my earlier immaturity on this forum and I'm astounded to think that I actually established some form of reputation on a public forum, even as a high school student. Granted, this reputation only went so far as being recognized as a frequent poster, but to an awkward teen like me it was pretty neat. I still cringe at the times I was immature, though, and on behalf of my past self I wish to apologize for anything stupid I may have said. I thought I was sooooo smart, heh heh, although I'm probably going to look back at how I am now and cringe, but hopefully it's catching up to me.
:P

In any case, I'm also glad to see that there's been lots of old members who are starting to return as well: Kaebora, Figarou, Scott Gardener, WerewolfKeeper3, AladasianTheMeerkat, WereWolfBoy, Noir-Okami, xlunafreakx, Fenris Lupa, Trinity, Neila, TwoMoons, Kuro, Chhayawolf, Joey Liverwurst, WolfAnst, wolfward, Cyberwatt, Leonca~, and lots of others I may not recognize but who have clearly been here for a long time.

I'm not sure how frequently I'm going to post now that I've returned, but I'll try to stay updated with what goes on here, and if you don't hear from me ever again, you guys are all awesome! Good luck with the movie, Anthony!

I was actually thinking of that exact song when making the title of this post.

Welcome back to The Pack!!

Glad to see we all have the same idea. It's nice to see old times congregate again. Even I came back just recently from a 4 year hiatus. Now that we've had time to gather new experiences, there's plenty more to talk about right?
