New one joining the fray...

Post by Not Quite Human »

Hey there,

Well, my name is Joe, I'm a 16 year old student in Wolverhampton in the UK - currently taking my A-levels and I've been off alcohol for 12 weeks now...wait...sorry, wrong intro.
*ahem*
Well yeah, that's me, I'm an avid downhill mountainbiker, I regularly race in both the local Summer series and the National Points Series and I'm pushing for a sponsorship this year. I'm also a BMX rider, but not quite to the same extent as DH. I play guitar, write songs, and have a band called the Hype Machine who played our first gig on thursday.

I've got a very laid-back approach to life (nearly horizontal) and I'm open-minded as far as people's views are...that's not to say, if the discussion warrants it, I won't challenge it.

I WAS breifly on the old Alpha Luna forum shortly before it got nuked, though I barely made my presence felt there.

Anyway, that's me, and I hope to be a frequent member here.
Joe. :P

Hey Joe! I was on the AL forum as well. Though, I went by another name there. PM me and maybe I'll give you the scoop on all that.

I assure you. This place is 10 times more fun then our old home. It's more liberating, more accepting by your peers. That and you don't develop a rash as much as you would have. Most of these guys don't have fleas, at least I don't think. I haven't had that problem.

Just one good advice. Watch out for Fig. He tends to go crazy sometimes with those duckies. It's good to find shelter, shield yourself behind someone you don't really care about or not shower for a few weeks at at time so that he'll stand a clear distance from you. Column A and B works just fine. Column C kind of wards a way everyone else as well. So, I think you should be fine with the first two options.

Congrats on the alcohol free-ness! Quitting stuff takes a lot of patience.
