So, does anyone have a problem with me officially starting the game on the 23rd?
I don't mean to rush you Blue-eyes in the dark, but I'm sure everyone else would like to get this show on the road. If you want, send me a PM and we can decide on bringing your character into the game after it starts.

PS: I hope you guys don't mind, but I've edited your character sheets slightly so they're all formatted in the same manner. Mostly that was just making certain things bold.
Quite fine with me. Looking forward to getting this underway, heh.

I just jumped into the action - well, I made the attempt, 'cause I haven't been in an airport very often. Only once with full awareness, to be honest. Thus I couldn't imagine the surrounding so well - hope, my common sense imagination helped out the right way. Although I couldn't think of another reason to be at the airport than to accompany a friend.

Anyways - happy it started :D

The scene is continued, and the plot thickens. Oh, and I got some pictures as well,

Sorry Thunderclaw and Blue-eyes, but I don't want this game to stall before it evens get going, and the scene was of a bit of a short-lived nature. You're still free to join in, but please don't time travel back to the start of the scene.

On default, I'll try to give you guys about 24 hours to post, and then I'll do what I can to let you know, but I don't want to be sending out a PM or three every time I post.

"In the moment of distraction, Tessen managed to get free of the guard's grasp. He had been careless when approaching the man that had just helped him. After getting out of the guard's hands, he ran, finding somewhere to hide."

Thunderclaw, what are you talking about?
The teenaged buy mentioned is not you, it the kid with the camera in his backpack that got too close to the FBI agents. See my responses for Sasha for more information. So, no one grabbed you.

Am I missing something here? What man just helped you?

Ok, as a bit of a visual aid, I did a quick sketch of a map for the airport, and the approximate positions of some people. You players are the green circles, if you were paying attention you should be able to figure out which one is you. The red circle marks the old man, the blue marks the FBI agents, and the orange marks the NYPD. The lines indicate directions of movement, more or less. The brown line shows the movement of the denim jacket guy, up until he vanished.
Map here.

Aki and Greyheart, let me know if you guys have any preferences for where/when your characters get furry. It's up to you, but if you want to get on with it I'll work the scene around it, since I'm sure neither of you wants to transform in the middle of an airport. :D

 No, not in the middle of an airport, for sure!

Well, since I'm always thinking around the lines of good storytelling, the best way I can think of Sasha getting furry (nice term by the way!) is after experiencing something dangerous that would result in the need for her suddenly developing enhanced strenght or senses. Maybe motorcycle-accident, maybe bullets in the air - and then the rush of adrenaline wakes up the dormant genes in her.

Well, a Hulk rampage is what I'm(as in Harry Bishop) is trying to avoid, though it's certainly possible, depending on how the scene plays out.

Sasha's certainly not the type for 'Hulk Rampage' - she's more the type avoiding them, using her wits to find ways out.

Oh, I meant for Harry. It would be easy for him, as he really does want to catch the guy in the denim jacket. He's actually tracked him across most of America, but doing it the fast and messy way would have all sorts of repercussions, and not only a larger manhunt after Harry.

It's part of why he tried to hypnotize you. I don't think you know how close you came to losing, I rolled dice, you tied, which was pretty amazing. But it's good, since I have no idea what I would have done if he'd successfully put the whammy on you, and I'm not sure how you would have reacted.

Ah, so you are rolling the dice for things like that - interesting. Asked myself what prevented him from being successful about that - story tied issues or dice role issues.

Sasha tied with Harry, eh? Must be due to her dual-stubborn heritage

I have to admit I really like your system - as far as I know it by now. The concept of Will is really nice - one mechanism, hundreds of possibilities. Awesome. Can't stop thinking about how one can use it building various personalities and creatures. I also like your concept of magic and the form it messes with wraiths (think this is your term for vampires and such) and shapechangers. Nice power balance system and cool options for atmospheric play.

I'm in agreement with Sasha. Some sort of danger would be good for the shift. Give it an element of drama and such - and it'd make all kinds of sense.

It's neat to know you're actually rolling dice. Heh, the Internet: The ultimate 'GM's screen'.

Thanks. On the whole I'm probably not going to be using half the stuff on my wiki, either now or later. It's basically a collection of stuff that I'm trying to work into a single whole. The majority of it isn't going to have any impact on this game, at least not at the moment.

I'm also a little leery of how much I want to introduce into the game, and what direction I want to take it. "Currently" souls trapped in little vessels are a major source of extra Will for most characters, and my gods get the majority of their power from parasitically leeching it from their followers, or outright eating people for it. So, I'm not really sure how you guys will react if I bring that up ingame.

Though, as is I'm probably going to work in ley lines at some point, though I don't think I have anything about them up on my wiki yet.

Nom nom nom nom... :eatduckie2:

I don't mind myself, the idea of gods leeching power from people/eating them for it doesn't bother me. Kinda reminds me of how some systems make gods dependent on belief to even exist.

Well, I once made the mistake of mentioning it to someone who turned out to be rather religious and interpreted it as me saying that Jesus ate babies in order to fuel his miracles. I'm sure you can see how he might have been offended by that imagery.

You're kidding, aren't you? Geesh ... some people have strange perceptions of what they hear/want to hear in the words and explanations of others ... These people are really strange ones ... approaching you and asking: Do you want to talk with me about god? ... No? - No!

Personally I have no problems with the thought of gods that get their power from their followers - in the end its a rather common thought throughout the world - believe in them, you make them powerful - nothing unusual about that. Maybe I have no problem with these kind of thoughts because of my study of cultural anthropology, maybe it's because I've been raised in germany and a rather open minded family - but in the end this is a game.

To make things short - throw all the friggin' madness at my character that you have! I definately don't mind and I'm sure I'll find ways to let Sasha cope with it.

The leylines idea is interesting - always liked the concept of powerful dragonlines.

blackwolfhell, The FBI agents and their prisoner are still in the airport, and so they haven't escorted anyone to a car yet.

Because I want to continue on, and Thunderclaw is having some computer troubles, I'm just going to edit Tessen out of the game for the time being.
Expect an update momentarily.

Just a heads up, Tiler (pronounced Tyler) is the leader of the vast majority of the werewolves in New York. Though, at this point Samuel(blackwolfhell) is the only one of you bunch who would know that, by virtue of him already being a werewolf.

The redheaded girl is Catriona, a rather prominent mage responsible for this area of the city, and all the "noise" just woke her up.
Again, it's likely that Samuel is the only one who'd know about her as anything other than a normal person, she is pretty well known amongst the nonhumans.

I hope it is okay that I posted again, before anyone posted at least once, but I thought it would be nice to get our characters to know each other - well, think a waiting room's the best place for this. If it wasn't okay, just notify me.
