Ok....spam has been showing up in this forum. I had a few pack members volunteer to be a mod.


I noticed the spam has been showing up in this section, (Forum Site Stuff) early in the morning. I'll make Shadow Wulf and Kaebora a mod here.

Once the spam spreads to other parts of the Pack forum, I will need more mods to help delete the spam. That or I'll give Shadow Wulf and Kaebora more sections to moderate.

After you guys delete the spam, I will need the name of the bot so I can deactivate its account.

I'll be more than happy to keep this place clean. I'll keep a focus on the natorious sections as well.

Heh...that was a mouth full.

That was a mouth full alright. It might just make a spam bot sit there anylizing the name and allowing us to catch it in the act.

And let me just say, I accept this responsibility with a humble nature. I have no intention of using the Moderator abilities for anything more than removing spam and inappropriate materials. I am not a judge and jury rolled into one. If for any reason anyone feels like a particular conversation is going the wrong direction, unless it is full of nothing but cussing and flaming or inappropriate images, it's probobly best not to PM us newbie Moderators about it. For the more delicate situations, I'll always leave it to Figarou and Lupin for the editing of posts. Still, I'd be more than happy to jump in and settle things down. We are a friendly bunch. I doubt that will happen. Unless Figarou encourages me to do more, I'll keep it low key. I use extreme caution when weilding power of any kind, thus rarely use it. Rest assured I'll blend right in until those certain moments arise.

This reminds me of the old days when I used to be a moderator at Steel Battalion Central. I sometimes would edit posts as a joke. They took it with a hearty laugh, until one guy went insane when my fellow admin did it. No more of that.

Yeah same here. Im gonna let Figarou handle the more delicate situations. I'll try to settle down arguements or flamings.

Also if a topic needs to be moved, Ill move it or merge it. I have been seeing alot of Blood and Chocalyte topics already and annoys me to see the same topic in several threads. So I'll merge it. But if I need help I'll contact Figarou. Hes gotta teach me how its done. There also has been cases where new comers posts werewolf movies in the general stuff or general film section when theres a werewolf movie forum of its own. Agien, I'll try to move it.

All very trivial stuff that really is nothing to fret over. Just be sure to announce your switcharoo before ya do it. It sometimes confused me when Figarou moved threads.

Oh dont worry about that. I mention where the thread is at. I know I may sound like a jerk or I might abuse my mod powers, but I wont. It just annoys me that new comers dont see the obvouse, thats just laziness.

Congrats SW, I know you've wanted this for a long time, I can't think of two who diserve it more than both you and Kaebora (except maybe Vuldarie *nudges Figarou*).

*tear* I'am so proud, It seems like just yesterday that I was greating you two noobs, oh tempus fugit.

Don't forget not to abuse your powers, either of you! Just because some noob has differant oppinions, everyone is entitled to one! However I doubt that either of you will do that.

I am so disgusted by the recent SPAM and pornography links that keep popping up here. We need to be vigilant, because when spam and porn take over a message board, that's when the message board DIES.

Dont worry about anything, we'll take care of it and we promise we will not abuse our mod powers.

I really grew up since.

I can proove it to you let me be a mod for one forum! (preferably the RP or Video game ones since i flourish at those the best.) Besides i'm one of the senior members with over 5,000 posts.
