Some of it, yes. Interestingly, Glen A. Larson created both "Knight Rider" and the Battlestar Galactica" series... He liked the look of the Cylon red-light-sweep so much he decided to incorporate it into KITT in the form of his primary scanner.

In the interest of keeping track of these edits (so people don't have to go searching all over the place to find them), I'll post them here.

I'm using Photoshop Elements 2.0 for editing these wolf emoticons. I use Animation shop 3 to change the frame rates.

I use either Adobe ImageReady CS or TheGIMP, depending on whether I'm currently in Windows or Linux.

TheGIMP is free, for both Linux and Windows. Although, to tell you the truth, as much as I like open source and all, I prefer Adobe Photoshop / ImageReady. However, TheGIMP should be sufficient to make edits or sprites, if you don't want to spend money to do it.

Gimp can make GIF animations ?? I have gimp on my PC, but I don't know how to use it (being as how it is anything but "user freindly"...and the "HELP" file is missing for some reason.) I will have to look into that.

I have to admit, I didn't mess with it much. I just saw that the layers palette showed each frame and had frame delays and such when I opened an animated GIF, so I assumed it supported editing and saving those values. I haven't actually tried it myself. I'll mess with it in more depth later, when I have a bit of time.

Oh, and I have version 2.2.4.

I have to admit, the interface needs work. That's one of the reasons I prefer to use Photoshop instead.

Also, even if your help file is missing, I bet you can find a good amount of information online, such as tutorials and the like, to learn from. I've never bothered to look, though.

I never tried "TheGIMP." I'm getting used to Photoshop elements.

Chewie, take the professor & plug him into the hyperdriv

A friend of mine warns me that The Gimp is prone to crashing. It's not entirely stable.
Taking a Gestalt approach, since it's the "in" thing...

I haven't had any trouble with it so far, but I only use it under Linux, and not very often. I have heard that the Windows version isn't as stable.

By the way, I have confirmed that TheGIMP can do GIF animations. Put each frame in its own layer and save it as a GIF file, it will give you the choice to either merge the layers or save as an animation, then you will be given further options (such as frame rate).

Those smileys are remakes from www.la-meute.org , a french newsgroup about wolves, and their original creator is Thierry. I know he doesn't mind people using them, but asking would still be nice :)
