I had a really tough time with this one. ---> :punishment:

What I need is a reference.

And I know I'm not the only one who can edit these wolf smilies.

I wouldn't know where to start with 'em... What program do you need?

Several different programs can do it. I use GIMP. It's like Photoshop...only not. ...and it's FREE!

Photoshop works too if you have it.

All you really need for still images is an art program that can make .gif images with transparancy.

...but animations are more fun. Image

The Laughing Fox was easy...only two frames.

Now...the Duckie Water Balloon. THAT was a project.

:wetwolf4: ...it took the efforts of THREE animators to complete that one. (Figarou, Myself, and whomever made the shaking animation.)

PC.

It's a 'spare parts' box, made from the leftovers of my fathers, mothers and brothers old computers, with a few upgrades. It ran great for a while, but it's breaking down, my monitor is getting darker, my nice graphics card died (using an older, obsolite one now), my power supply I'm pretty sure is malfunctioning, and it does not run very stable any more.

I've never used 'PhotoShop TM'. ...the full version is too expensive. I could buy "elements"...but GIMP is FREE...so why bother?

It's a powerful program, and it can do alot more than I know how to do with it. Creating Animations out of image layers is aquard at first, but you get the hang of it after a while.

...I really should do more, but I've not felt motivated to do so lately.

...oh well...Image

you see, fig, while i am constantly using compy programs (gimp, graphic converter, and sometimes photoshop), i do not know the simplist things about smilies. what kinda file do i save the resulting pic as? how do i upload it?

now that i think about it, i could prolly figure this stuff out by myself, but i think i better make sure i know what i'm doing before i try too hard.

Heh...I learned how to edits these wolf smilies on my own as well. Sorry that I missed your earlier post. I could've answered some of your questions on what to do.

Once you get the hang of it, you'll be creating some really cool stuff. Just wait till an idea pops in your head. Thats how some of my creations came to be. :D

A bit of hassle, but not if you're interested.

Yes, they are wearing hoodies. My anthropomorphic alter ego (aka: fursona) is constantly seen wearing one. Also, I've never seen an emote on these boards wearing a hoodie.

How I've done it...

I took two images... and :x and composed the top half of :x over . After that, I grayscaled the wolfie because my fursona is all grey. And after that, I custom made a hoodie that I first drew as a separate layer and then merged with the first frame. and voila!!! You got yourself a gangsta werewolf!

Image Image

These two were made because I felt that a gray hoodie and a grey werewolf didn't really mix for these forums.
