I left Colorado Springs and drove up into the mountains to the town of Woodland Park. Where I shot this image of the east slope of Pikes Peak.

Next , I drove deeper into the mountains, into park county ( see the sign?) Yep, that's the REAL South Park. It actually exists, although technically, this would be southeast-park.

So I spy a bait shop next to a dirt road snaking into the mountains. And there's this cool old tyme 7UP sign. Great 60's logo! ( 7up is a soda, for you young-uns who only drink Mountain Dew :}

You think I'm not gonna take a dirt road I know nothing about? Well, I did!( approx. 11,000 ft elevation here...

At this point i have no idea where this road is taking me. But I can imagine werewolves living here in this remote mountain wilderness...Yessir...

What do I see as I'm driving? Wahoo! But alas! it was closed!

I keep going. After hours of driving I come out of the mountains into a GARGANTUAN valley! This is where I would totally film the house scenes for Camp Lycanthrope ( for those of you who have read the script..

And, if that weren't cool enough, what do i find? LLAMAS! * thrashes around with excitement* I threw Lay's barbeque potato chips at them, but they didn't want any! Picky llamas! If only I had some rubber duckies...

I keep going. back into some forest...Stop to take a picture of the filthy Matt car.

And finally, just when I'm wondering if I should turn back...what do I find? A lake that looks just like the actual one from "Camp Lycanthrope" Just as I saw it in my mind! Only I''d never been here before! Can't you just see a bunch of white tents on that ridge, and werewolves leaping off the rocks into the water? I can!

I wade in. I fight with a surly Crawdad! He pinches me with his claws, i curse! I am buzzed by a peregrine falcon, who dove so fast, it made a SOUND ( whistling through the air ) I threw rocks at a rainbow trout who kept swimming closer to me. If I were a werewolf..this is so totally where I would live, and if CL is ever made in live action, this is where I'd film it.
Finally, after much frolicking, I head home, happy and de-stressed. I think you guys shouldpost your own adventure posts here!
