Second Life

Post by Searif »

Second life is a great game if you like socializing while not going out of your house and the game also have a large varity of communties such as fur/therian communities and goth/vamp communities, while there is a teen second life I have not seen it myself..... "but you are indeed a teenager Searif, why are you not in teen second life" you say? well you need to have identification and as far as my parents go they wont let me use any sort of identification online and they know I signed up for the one thats meant for 18+(which does not need identification, do not ask me why) but do not really care.

Great people and a great game.

I was hoping to set up a group in the game of people from the pack but 1. the name is already taken, so I may call it freeborn or something like that 2. it cost L$100 which is not a price im willing to pay at the moment since im saving up for a better avatar(if anyone is willing to donate L$600 to me that would be great, 500 for the avatar 100 for the group)

I like the idea of creating your own worlds, but I find it to be a waste to have to pay real money per "acre" of buildable space. Rumor has it that there are ways to import objects from 3D design programs like Auto-Cad, 3D Studio, and Lightwave.

In any case, I have better things to do.

I tried it for a while. I spent 90% of my time constructing a custom Fox Avatar (Vuldari Yamabushi) from scratch with almost no previous 3-D modeling experience, (no way was I going to buy one from someone else), and I was fairly proud of what I was able to create as my first 3D character model/edit.

...in the end though...the world was just so unstable, and I just didn't find much of anything that I really wanted to do there. It just felt like a big 3D chatroom, and I never liked chatrooms. ...plus, it seemed like anytime anyone was ever doing something with character animations or sound effects, it was more often than not something vulgar, and I don't like that at all.

I instinctively gravitated to the "Furry" sections, since that would be the place where I would find the most help and get the most positive feedback for my Fox Avatar In-Progress, but when I noticed the walls of the central building in one furry aria were wallpapered in scrolling Yiff/Porn, and the other sold various oversized naked animal body parts for furry avatars, and vulgar character animations, I realized I was really not going to like hanging out there.

I tweaked my Human Avatar to make it just right as well and wandered all over elsewhere too, but in the end, I just saw nothing of interest to me there. Just annoying time wasters in a game world where a building or a passing character would take 2-15 minutes just to fully load and appear correctly on my screen.

...a good idea, but I just could stand to put up with it any longer. Just too many technical issues, and it took way too much effort required to get anything worthwhile out of the game.

I think it's free now, (if you don't want to own any land), so I would recommend that anyone who is curious should try it...but I personally think it would need a major overhaul before I would be able to give it a thumbs up.

...they get an "A" for effort though...

I simply ignored the yiff and whatnot, if you want some places with either no yiff or barely any then go to either the rainbow tiger or luskwood(has no yiff at all)

I will add you whitepaw when I get home :P my name is Searif Aida :D

It's fun to use the engine to build stuff, but most of the people are so shallow and boring and all they want to do is yiff and cyber.

Just not interested in either, so I usually end up wandering off and making stuff by myself.
