Lets add something different to the general topics forum. Post here your favorite poems that you’ve done. If anyone would like to host any of mine on their website, or anywhere else, please give me a credit.
HONOR
By Emilio Joven
Honor is what binds the wills of the strong, and keeps all, from doing terrible wrongs.
Honor is in the minds, of those who wish for long, the great things, that come from following one’s song.
Honor is the queller that helps all the weak, to care for them, as they hurriedly weep.
Honor is the will, that heals all hearts killed, and cares for them, whenever their souls grow ill.
Honor is the strength that grows every inch, and makes us great, because our integrity will not flinch.
Honor, makes us harder, so that we can grow stronger, and outlast evil longer, and be heroes forever.
Honor is the blade that will not strike for fury’s fame, and will not halt against sickening shame.
Honor is the rule that halts all fools, from becoming ignorant tools of evil wolves.
Honor is the strength, honor is the power, honor is the will, that for us the divine showers.
Without honor, chaos ensues, with honor, what is right continues.
Forever is honor to keep us from dishonor, away from the horror, that chaos harvers.
Here’s a more recent one:
WHAT DO YOU SEEK
By Emilio Joven
What do you seek, from the twilight that is before you?
Do you seek what you cannot have, what you only crave?
Do you want what can never be yours, what can only be gained?
Or do you need what is yours to receive, because with it you will do your deeds?
Seek not glory, nor immortality, seek not wealth, nor fame, seek not any of these, because they will all fade away.
You are not remembered by who you are, what you have done, but what you leave behind.
You are not what you want, not what you seek, not what you give, not what you take, you are what you need, not what is in your fate.
Seek only what you need, for with need comes the path, the path away from all distractions, to lead you on towards destiny. For glory does not stem from actions, does not stem from vices, does not stem from all that you call riches, it stems from what is in front of you, what you leave behind, for those that follow you.
There is only one true glory, one true immortality; it is the survival of what is created, what is left to be painted, on the tapestry of life that seeks to go on for generations. Survival is the true immortality.

Hmmmmmm...time to revive this thread.
A short truck driver poem by Figarou!!
Driving through the night on a dark bumpy road.
Heading to south Texas with an extra hot load.
Looking out the front window at the Texas night sky.
Hoping to catch a glimpse of the moon up high.
Cruising along with a gas tanker behind.
Heading to the convenience store, I must find.
Ah, here we are, the big 7-11.
Time to dump fuel, "Oh thank heaven!"
Delivery is complete, I'm through for the night.
Time to head in before the morning sunlight.

It took you about five minutes to make that up didn't it?
Here's one of mine, but I warn you it doesn't rhyme.
Thief Of Souls
by Sheba Echo Tobain
Shadow moving through the night
Silently stalking its next victim
Revealing itself to the innocent it wishes to harm
A young man appears
Before a startled girl
He speaks to her
Saying do not be afraid
She cannot resist his charm
A foolish girl who lets him steal her heart
But it is not love he is after
She leans in close to him
Eager to taste his skin
He wraps his arms around her
Kissing her neck gently
Like a moth in love with a flame she lets him caress her
Unaware of how she'll be burned
He is a cat merely toying with his prey
She is the mouse soon to be devoured
And he begins to tire of the game
Deciding to end it he pulls her in closer
She is too drunk with pleasure to know the danger
His eyes glow eerily as he steals her soul
A brief scream pierces the night
He lets her lifeless body slide to the ground
The spider who caught a fly
Satisfied by his catch
He melds back into shadow
And seeks to rest again
I see him within myself
The cat in search of a mouse
We are the same person
I am the thief of souls
Here's one of mine, but I warn you it doesn't rhyme.

I can count! - (No title)
A cresant moon hangs above the sky,
Two eyes dance in the dark,
A flowing lope to the beat of three,
Four fangs peirce the stillness,
Five pads softly touch the rock.
Six as one.
I can bring some more...*Scuffles off to find peotry*

both of mine are depressing, however...
the gods i tease
i rest with ease
wher none shall ever find me
i lay in my grave
but none are so brave
as if to ever find me
~~~
The black sea roiled and frothed
Like the maw of some great beast.
The people on land were unaware;
They were about to be its feast.
The shadow fell across the beach
As the people fled.
The houses echoed with the cries
Of those left for dead.
As the wave swept ’cross the sand
And all beneath it damaged,
The darkened clouds drifted away,
Showing the landscape ravaged.
And as the clouds defied the moon
And hid its gleam again,
It seemed to those left in the city,
There was no hope right then.
When the wave had come and gone,
The survivors came out to see
The shattered houses of their brethren,
Though living would give them no glee.
Here is my most recent. Simple, yet it gets the point across.
"Scarlet Moon"
by: Brooke Edwards
5/18/2005
I feel the pain inside me now
as I lie here on the frosted ground
something wild calls to me
but I can't answer it easily
Lunar rays on my rippling spine
cracking and expanding due to moon's shine
palms sucking in my fingers
nails to claws, my creature's
My skin crawling, I scream
so soon will I be redeemed
eyes bloodshot to colorless sight
enlarging fangs pierce the brisk night
Its over, my Change
now in overall rage
I must hunt, I must kill
On all fours, what a thrill
Animal instinct in charge
I wouldn't remember who you are
On scent I trace
Some ones here, anywhere but safe
ready to race
for I will give chase
Your body will be so unrecognizable
There will be no case
As I near, I smell your pumping blood
Your shrill squeals as I begin your red flood
Razor talons sink into warm flesh
warm crimson breath, as I caress
The October moon becomes inflamed
As I devour my poor, fallen prey
Howls of glorious triumph come soon
Oh have I, my scarlet moon
