It is snowing RIGHT NOW! I had to go home early from college to beat the roads from icing over. Unfortunately the roads around the college already did, and my car slid maybe 25 feet, almost hitting a truck. Fortunately the roads near my house (especially the entry road that is at a 45 degree angle) had no snow sticking yet. It is beginning to now though. I still have to go to work today in a few hours. I hope they close the building due to the weather.
I already had to scrape snow off my car twice today. This is getting rediculous. It's the second time the snow has been this bad here in a month. Stupid El Nino.
If work is canceled, I'll be happy. If not, I'll be very very frustrated that they find making money more appealing than the saftey of employees. They've done that before.

Let's see: It's sixty five degrees in the shade, almost eighty in the sun.
Mild overcast. It'll get to about fifty tonight.
And Gas just went up three cents from yesterday.
See? Kalifornia isn't perfect.
It does feel good to this ole Wolf's bones, though....

...And I didn't see a SINGLE snowman or snow angel in all those snow pics!
On our snow day we had no less than FIVE snowmen in just my block of apartments alone! Before the snow stopped, the kids had built twenty throughout the complex and there were four more outside on the corners!
Y'gotcher work cut out for you, young llady! Get out there and fix that!!!

A memory:
When I was following Crash Worship on their New Years' tour back in '97, I was driving between Denver and Albuquerque. Around sunset, I passed a snow-covered mesa with the last red rays of the sun glinting off the snow. I think it was just below the Colorado/New Mexico border. Beautiful. Had to stop and stare at it until the sun went down too far and it just got dark...

I don't dislike snow. I dislike icy roads when I have to drive on them. Tis all. I admit that the Sandia Peaks look quite lovely from my balcony right now. Wonderful view. Unfortunately the snow melts quickly here, even in the mountains. I'm not exactly very far north, just in a high altitude.

The snow's all gone, the sky's clear and beautiful, temps are in the 50s. In short, we're getting a bit of springlike weather in the thick of winter. Not uncommon here, but that probably means we're gonna get smacked with an even worse storm in a week or so.
The high mountains, Three Sisters and Mt. Hood, are COVERED with a thick mantle of snow down to the hill-line. I wish I could see Eagle Cap from here. Gods, I love the Cascades...
