For those of you young uns who think today's Saturday Night Live veterans are funny, you oughta read up on John,, if you don't know who he is. Rent animal house and seek out some old SNL videos. He was a funny funny guy, and unlike a lot of todays SNL, he had talent.

Sad that we lose people like that so early in their lives.

Indeed. I'm not old enough to have seen him live but man was he hilarious. I think he, like others, ended up with Achilles' choice. At least we have his works to remember him by.

That explains why I have never seen or heard from him since the Blues Brothers movie. Poor guy, he made me crack.
