some of the comments made in the threads are less than appropriate.

And it's a entire forum dedicated to DK (though that really depends on what you like.)

The biggest thing that bugged me was the awful colorscheme though (just my opinion) after looking at the forum my eyes just HURT

Well, It's not just about DK, it's about the universe that he lives in and games that take place in that universe (Like Banjo-Kazooie and Conker's Bad Fur day). And why don't you think DK is valid enough as a franchise to create a forum around it?

Donkey Kong has only four main character games revolving around his franchise. Diddy Kong Racing is a spinoff, the original Donkey Kong games are too simple to be considered to have taken place in any particular universe, and Banjo and Conker are owned by Rare (well... Conker, anyway, maybe not Banjo), so I don't think they count.

It's really not all that detailed a franchise, even though the games are good.

Where all mad but it doesnt effect our spelling and grammer.
The first reply to someone's thread too, and it's a rip on the person's ability to form sentenses. Yep. I'll avoid that place. By the way, it's spelled "We are" and "grammar". He also forgot the apostrophe in the compund word "doesn't". See? It's not nice to nit pick posts.

There should really be one of those internet "laws" that say that a nit-pick message inevitably has its own typos... case in point:

I've never heard of it 'till I saw this post. So I can't hate it.

Can't say I like it very much either. Never was a Donkey Cong fan. *shrug*

I wasn't saying that I just was saying that much like "the pack" it wouldn't be for everyone. It's my guess that if I showed "the pack" to 10 people 7 of them would say that I was a freak 8)

But then again that may just be some of my friends

note: the colorscheme is very, very, very detrimental. VERY hard to look at for more than 2 minutes

Have you ever played the DK-series done by Rare?

Morkulv is right. The Donkey Cong Country series is a great set of platformers with excellent pseudo-3D graphics.

Yeah. It's worth noting I'm no big fan of platformers. :P
