The Ghost of Cumulus (Prologue)

A hole rips open in the middle of very large and empty room, a room with no exit other than this hole in the fabric of reality. Large flashing lights emanate as two identical people appear. The only difference being that one of them is purple. The purple man is The Ghost of Cumulus. The other is referred to as The Protagonist. The simple fact is that their real names are unknown. The Ghost performs a strange action and The Protagonist collapses to the floor.
Before his eyes were lifeless and now life has returned to his eyes, however he is much weaker.

Anyone can enter or exit the room through the hole someone created.
The Ghost of Cumulus tries to leave but he is unable to go where he wants to go. He starts to recharge his energy but there is nothing in which he can do this with. He sits and waits. After a while The Protagonist starts to recover but before he can the Ghost gets up and body slams him. Not a normal body slam but one that emminated large vibrations and put large cracks in the floor. The Ghost

quickly performs the strange action from before for some reason. Frustration spreads across his face as he decides to give up on whatever he was doing before. He waits and perserves The Protagonist's condition to make sure no one follows them into the room.

About a day has passed and The Protagonist has been kicked and beaten all over the room. The Ghost is satisfied that no one will come to help The Protagonist and leaves for places unknown. The hole closes behind him leaving The Protagonist trapped.

22 minutes later The Protagonist starts to heal. A strange energy surrounds this mysterious character. His body is not healing itself but instead this strange energy is healing it for him.

About an hour later he opens his eyes. He is not able to stand. He looks around at the battered room. It is an empty white room with a brown wooden floor. He touches the floor to find that the wood is not really wood but just a design. There are cracks all over the floor with only one really bad spot in the northeast corner of the room. The ceiling above it is cracked just as bad. Unable to move he just lies there staring at the cracks in the walls.

The Protagonist thoughts are muddled and confused. The last thing he could remember was being pulled into a strange cartooney dimension. It was a place were anthropomorphic people were eating and drinking watching the Ghost try and kill him. He did not think it felt real. Two people appeared to help him but it still did not seem sincere to him. If felt like the participants were unaware of their real surroundings. It felt like he was the only one who knew his pain was actually real. It felt a little off.

The Protagonist successfully rolls over onto his back to see something strange written on the cracked ceiling above him.

Year + 50

This gives him a strangely nostalgic feeling.

The Protagonist is able to stand up now but is unable to perform any sudden movements.

With each passing second he feels a little stronger.

He feels much better now and is able to function normally.

He walks over to the cracked floor and presses down on it with his foot. It moves but only a little. Still he decided it would be best to avoid stepping on it. He walks around and finds a bad spot on the wall. He starts banging on it. It eventually gives away revealing nothing but black empty space. He sticks his head out of the hole and looks around and sees strange words appearing out in the emptiness.

Brushing aside more dejavu he wanders around trying to beat another hole the walls of the room. He is hoping to find a safe way out. Nothing else gives and he is unable to reach the terribly cracked ceiling.

He wanders around the room some more and then gives up. He sits back down.

It has only been about ten minutes but the Protagonist can not take it any more. An unknown restlessness wells up inside of him. If felt like it had been building up inside of him before. He goes over to the corner and slams his foot down on the floor but it only moves a little. He gets down on his hands and knees and starts pounding his fists on it. Nothing happens. He gets back up and starts doing something stupid. He stomps on it over and over again. It only moves a little. He keeps stomping on it. It moves a little more. An unforeseen rage revives inside of him, a rage coming from some unknown part of his past. He keeps stomping on it with fire in his eyes. It breaks and he falls grasping for the edge of the floor that had not fallen. He fails to grasp an edge and falls into the black nothingness that he was hoping would not be there. At the moment he hits free fall he finds himself in a strange sky and out of the black. He sees strange blurs around him as he falls but can not make them out. He keeps falling until he hits water. Unfortunately for him a whirlpool immediately sucks him downward. Instead of hitting a bottom he hits air and starts falling again. Looking up he can see a body of water floating in the air. Its width seems to go on forever. He can feel it inside of him that this should not be able to occur but he also feels a strange disinterest inside of him as well. He positions himself to look down. He sees several swirling vortexes of what appeared to be a mixture of gas (clouds), water, and light. He notices that next to each one is another one and this too appeared to go on forever. As he hits free fall he notices he is about to fall into a light green vortex. He closes his eyes as he falls in. He finds himself immersed in a black and white pandemonium. He stops falling and floats down onto invisible ground. This pandemonium looks like the image you see when the TV goes on the fritz. The pandemonium is on all four sides of him. The pandemonium starts to flicker on and off.
