I'm trying to mimic the forum's newer color scheme, with the gradiants and polished look. Getting the gradients right will take some effort, but I think it'll turn out cool. Gimmie a few hours, and I'll have an example by today or tomorrow.

You may be able to pay someone to do it for you, or even request one from someone What did you want on the avatar? Depends what it is on whether someone could draw it for you.jwagoner wrote:Odds are, that's what I'll do, but I really like some of these avatars that people drew

I haven't either. -Points- Mine's a photo. A LOT of thought went into that one. I spent several decades in college doing rocket science before I decided that...clearly, a photo was my best bet.jwagoner wrote:You know, to be honest, I don't know...
I suppose I've not given it enough though
I also laugh at my own jokes...so...
Anyway, well, a werewolf version of you? Or if you are a therianthrope or furry, a picture of that, or perhaps a werewolf with six heads.

Good luck! I'd offer myself but I'm not sure my art would be good enough, and I unfortunately am very busy. Grrrr to Uni assignments! Somebody I am sure will lend a hand.jwagoner wrote:Well, seeing as I'm a big werewolf mark
I'd think it would just have to be, I think I'll need to confer with some of our very talented artists and work out something
Kaebora is right though. I used to have a bird avatar. Love my birds.

Well, I caught a snag. I have Photoshop 7.0 at home. I started on it using Photoshop CS2. The only real problem is that the font I'm using is identical to the font used on The Pack website, but is only availible in the CS2 version. I can only work on the image on the college campus computers with the CS2 version. I can't figure out how to export the font type to install on my version at home.

You know the name of it? Look under the Windows folder (assuming it isn't a Mac or something) and then click the Fonts folder. Find the file with the name of the font you want. You should be able to just copy it onto a floppy (you kids ever heard of those?) or usb thingy and then drop it into the Fonts folder on your own computer. And...that's it. Simple.

You still need to make Photoshop recognize the file as part of the database. There is an external file that catalogs the fonts into the "Characters" window tools. I have a tutorial on how to import fonts in PS7, so I should have this fixed by Tuesday.

A bit of bad news. The font I was using isn't named the same as its source file, thusly, I have no way to know which file is the right one. This only means I can only work on the membership card from my college campus. So, my solution is to rasterize the title layers and use a different font for the name, birthdate and such.
Unless, one of you can send me the file for the standard version of the font "Charlemagne". The same font used on the Pack website.

I have completed the first version of the card. IF there are any changes that could improve the design, tell me, before we make it official. I might still need to realign the graphics a bit, but its pritty much finished.
I also have made the title lines "Member", "Representative", and "Administrator".
The plan I came up with is pritty simple. There would be a waiting list, and the information to be put on the card would be kept private through PMs. I'd hand the base file out to the volunteers with Photoshop v7 or higher to assist in making the card files (if the demand is extremely high). Once recieved, the cards can then be printed or laminated at one's own descretion.
