The Werewolf fans need a name!!!
I fixed it.Werewolf wrote:Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't popular meaning more people suggested it...akujiwolf wrote:The most popular names will be put into a poll and voted on.
Here is what I came up with going over this thread, I will list the ones that got more then 1 suggestion and sorry if I missed any.
The Pack - 5 votes
Howlers - 5 votes
Moonstruck - 2 votes (voting against or mentioning it is not a vote for it)
Wolfkin - 2 votes
Lunatics - 2 votes
Please let the fans be the judge, that is what I thought this was for anyway

A Re-Vote is very much in order I think, since those votes were made without,(potentially prefered), options available.Werewolf wrote:No problem, but is there anyway you can start the poll over since people only had to choose between the ones that we're on there it seems a bit unfair since votes we're already cast.
Well, although it was I who suggested Lunatics, I voted for The Pack. It just works better. I don't think anyone will confuse this with the gang from Gargoyles, given that this'll be at the end of a movie that has nothing to do with Gargoyles or, presumably, Disney.
Of course, if Duckies was an option, that would get my vote...

I don't think so either, at least that isn't what I thought of when I saw it.Xodiac wrote:I don't think anyone will confuse this with the gang from Gargoyles
I think "Howlers" is a better name for werewolf fans in general, but if only used with and associated with this film "The Pack" works good for describing the fans and people that have given input towards the film ^..^

Nevermind.
Not that it matters anyways. Unless you yell out...
"Wait!!" "Don't everyone leave!!" "Check out the credits at the end!!"
Just trying to make it easier for people to know who "The pack" is.
Unless Duckies wins the vote.

No it's fine, but if someone said to you that he was part of "The Pack" and you had no idea what do you think he was part of... sounds more like a gang to me, if it's just used as a term in the credits of the movie it's fine but like said trying to use it as a name for werewolf fans in general I think most people wouldn't have a clue what "The Pack" was.LoupGarou wrote:I still voted for The Pack,i don;t see anything wrong with it.
Howlers is a better werewolf fan name in general because if you asked someone what they associate howling with most of them would say wolves, so if someone said they we're a "Howler" they would probably think about wolves... maybe not all of them would think werewolves but wolves is close enough
But if it is just for the purpose of calling out a specific group in the credits I think "The Pack" works nicely for that and pretty much only that though.

This is not a poll for what the Werewolves in the movie will call themselves. This is a poll for what WE, the patrons of this forum, will call ourselves, and be thanked by name as in the closing credits of the movie.ShadowFang wrote:Grr...that "Duckies" option is screwing up the poll. Suppose that should win? Then what?
(and no, the werewolves will NOT be calling themselves "duckies")
EX:
And Very special Thanks to the "(insert winning name here)" at the www.calypso-blue.com/werewolf forums for all your great input.

Talk about a good idea turned bad
What farce? I'm serious. I think it would be fun to call ourselves the "duckies".
Come on. A healthy sense of humor is good for you.

It's a funny name and it was funny to mention it, but I don't find it humorous in the least for werewolf fans to be called "Duckies"... there is no way I would want to be called that being a diehard werewolf fan, which I amVuldari wrote:What farce? Honestly, "The Pack" makes soo much sense that it does not feel creative or interesting at all. Where is the fun in that?
...personally, I would rather be remembered as someone who was not so stiff and serious, but rather, foolishly enthusiastic about the genre I love.

Being creative is one thing, but that name makes no sense at all... it should make a little sense even if only the by slightest related to it's subject.
I agree "The Pack" is a bit general and I've said that, maybe I am being a bit too serious but I would really like the name to best reflect werewolf fans is that so wrong?
If you want something cute and funny how about "Cubbies" or "Tail Chasers", I'm all for being creative but picking a random funny name for something that really doesn't fit what it is intended for is not being creative at all... it would be me going up to someone named Tom and calling him Dave

Hmmmmmm..........With all this input from us on "What should a werewolf be?" What kind of improvments can be made if they decide to do a sequel?

Wrong?...absolutely not. That is perfectly reasonalble.Werewolf wrote:... but I would really like the name to best reflect werewolf fans is that so wrong?

As for the Tom/Dave comment...
I am a man with a long curly ponytail and a small frame. People come up behind me all the time and, assuming I am a woman, say ,"excuse me...maam...". I am not insulted by this, or find it annoying at all. At the end of the day, I just smile and laugh about it. The joke brightens my day.
In the end, the majority vote will win, and "the pack" is leading 2 to 1, so I wouldn't sweat it too much.
The rest of us have a right to "stick a feather in our hats and call it macaroni", if we really want to.
