It's about 5 hours from Albuquerque. Hmm... I could consider a weekend. Give me a few days to decide and see what my check account balance tells me. I need to figure in all the costs.
I have some friends of mine that may also be interested in going. Sharing the cost of the room and gas might help, and in fact make the odds of making the trip very very likely.

Ok... I NEED a vacation. If I go, here are the dates.
June 29th - July 1st
Anyone else want to shoot for that time frame? I could really use some help paying for a hotel room. The gas for the drive by itself is expensive. I'll go ahead and ask for those days off.
Here's an idea, Matt. What if I pick you up on my way through Colorado Springs and we share a room in Castle Rock? My plan would be to start the return trip around 3pm on Sunday though (your birthday). A nearby Quality Inn is just $95 a night.

Matt- I just checked the map, and CO Springs is only 60 miles or so from Mission:Wolf, so I could make it a day trip in a pinch. ^^ Even if my family decides to come on a different weekend I'll try to be there at least one day that weekend.
ShortTail- so you going to try and make it too? I still have that pic I did for you in my glove box!

Wow man, thank you. That's generous of you. (I thought C.Springs was much farther too.)MattSullivan wrote:Kae, there's no need for a hotel room. I live 25 minutes south of Castle Rock. Save yer cash and stay here.
I ran into some trouble with work though. This next few weeks is VERY busy, and they already scheduled me for the 29th and 30th. I might be able to get someone to pick up my shifts, or trade with me. I already filed a Special Time Off request form, and have yet to see a rejection or approval. I'll go ahead and ask off for the 1st of July and see if I can clear those days. If not, well... maybe some other time.

Ok, it's final. I can go. For how long I'm not sure.
June 29th: Work 7a - 11a (I could leave after work if I can't manage to get the time off. 5 hour drive.)
June 30th: Free
July 1st: Unknown, but likely working. (I will also work hard to keep this day free.)
Bottom line, I at least have two days to devote to my much deserved vacation. So, does this work for yall? Matt? Pariah?

Good, because my begging has paid off. I have all three days off. My weekend trip to Colorado had recieved the stamp... APPROVED! With a capital A.P.P.R.O.V.E.D.
I encourage any other Pack members who can, to go as well. This'll be fun.
