Maybe; still up in the air. If so, I'll see you there. If not, then, well, see you when I can, and I still want DVDs.

Looks like I'll have to pass, as I've got my hands full right now. If all goes well, I'll be able to gripe about all the DVDs already being sold out in a few days, and I'll have mine on back order.

I was also kind of looking forward to meeting Elvira, dang it, though Red Victoria was for me decidedly the main attraction.

But he came anyway

Post by Scott Gardener »

OK, I said I wasn't going to come, but I did anyway. So did Cathey, and we had a great time. It's a three day con, and it's still going on even now, but we only came for Saturday, arriving around four. (I'm actually at work in an ER right now.) Figarou was there, too. It was like a mini-A-Kon, except without Pocky, lines at elevators, or any semblance of order. You don't realize just how good A-Kon's staff is at keeping things running smoothly until you see other conventions.

We got brief glimpses of Roddy McDowell and Elvira, no chance for direct interaction, but we got better; we ran into Dee Wallace Stone, AKA "Karen White," the star of The Howling!

Red Victoria was the main attraction, though, and our reason for going, and again, it went over like gangbusters. It's now out on DVD. I got four copies--one for Cathey and me and three for various family members. While it was a convention for Figarou, Cathey, and I, it was a business meeting for Anthony Brownrigg, who with his wife Silver outwardly expresses that the main purpose of Red Victoria is to build a resume to get funding for Freeborn--here's what he can do with $5000 and found objects, now try to imagine what he can do with six million and studio backing.

Must have been a Roddy McDowall look alike.

I am glad that you folks had a good time.

I wonder if Anthony sold out of his DVDs ?
The change, does it wrack the bones and rend the flesh ? Yes, indeed it does. But is this pain and agony alone ? No, in fact hardly at all. It is the Sacrament of the Moon. The flesh flows and so do the endorphins. It is, in truth, the agony ecstatic; The Pain That Is Pleasure

Yeah, that was my thought too. I wish I could have gone so I could get a dvd. But that's a very expensive trip just to stay long enough to pick up a movie. :(

Thats not the only thing thats expensive. I spent $64 for the weekend pass. OUCH!!!

Signed photos from the other actors was $20. Elvira asked for $25. But the line to where she's at was very VERY long. So I didn't bother getting one from her. I did manage to get a picture and video with my camera.

If you bought a Red Victoria DVD, you can get everyone to sign it.

Heh...even I get to sign it!!! :D

I should've charged $20 for my signature. :jester:

Yes true cameras make the red eyes show up, but look at his their white not even a tint of red. :? but to tell you the truth if by any chance he is/ isn't what my thinker makes me believe he is, it wouldn't matter in the long run because who would really believe anything a nobody in the liveing world says? But gosh if he is, then thats fricken off the wall. :)

Actually it looks like the yellow eyeshine that a lot of prey animals tend to have.
(on a side note, my boyfriend has a cat with one blue eye and one green eye and one reflects red and the other reflects yellow. ;D )
