Harry Potter book stolen

Levy Home Entertainment and internetbookshop DeepDiscount.com have broken the Harry Potter 7 embargo. Because of them, online copies of the book are now on the internet.
They are now being sued.

Always the Americans that break embargo's and stuff right

Damn them.

As a loyal Potter fan, I will wait till the actual release.
I will not read HP7 posts on the internet, because i don't want to get spoiled.

The book's coming out in a few days, can't they just wait. Talk about being impaitent. The last thing I want is to have the ending ruined so I'm just gonna wait til this weekend.

I'll have to agree with Matt. What you are doing is attacking an entire country of people, assuming that we all would do such things. Didn't you say they are being sued? GOOD! That means that justice is being served. Excuse me a moment, I'm gonna go steal the unprinted Tom Clancy novel.

Seriously. Right on this board, is another topic where people are trying to justify the illegal downloading of movies and music, and software. To them, that's okay, especially in China where our products are sold on the street and NO ONE, especially not the CHINESE GOVERNMENT which all you lefties seem to love, does a damn thing about.

Oh but no....Harry Potter gets leaked, and suddenly it's "Damn the Americans!" Gee, why don't you tell us how you really feel about America?

You guys seem to forget, that you have FREEDOM OF CHOICE! Well, at least we Americans have it. But you never USE it!

If you don't want the ending of the book spoiled, DON'T BUY IT FROM ANYONE WHO LEAKS IT! Don't download a movie off the net if you don't want it spoiled for you. And don't seek out spoilers from internet douchebags whose only claim to fame is somehow obtaining an early release of some movie or book!

And I never said I hated the AMERICANS. I just damned the people who put it online. Maybe the way I typed looked like I was damming all Americans, sorry for that.
But you have to agree that the majority of pirated films/games etc are coming from America (and France).

Um... no... the majority of pirated movies, games, books, etc are coming from the orient. Americans create a large portion of the world's entertainment. The American legal system thusly does a lot to protect franchised materials (copyrighting, trademarks, restrictions, etc). Even Disney was fighting to keep their oldest cartoons from becoming public domain. A friend of mine that lives in Singapore tells me they have people selling pirated materials in streetside shops all over the place. The same is said about Hong Kong. It is nowhere near that bad here, and if someone were caught selling bootleg CDs in a store, they'd be arrested or fined. If anyone pirates anything in America, its over the internet, and even that is punished for just the same. Those who are caught make headlines occationally though. Also, I have a French friend sitting behind right now (with a cool accent and everything) and he hasn't heard of any pirating in his home country besides that one Half-Life 2 incident.

Where did you hear that Americans and French are the top piraters anyways? Got any sources?

Unless they scanned it page-by-page...it's fake. Rowling NEVER approved of ANY electronic releases of her books.
Silly, if you ask me: a time locked Harry Potter E-book would sell faster than the current Dead Tree versions. You buy it, and at the specified hour and date, it comes as a .txt file to your own computer.

Heck, if you have a talking programme on your compy, you could even have it read to you....

And Matt & Kaebora Don't yell at them: They are just saying what they've heard.

I agree with Matt and kaebora on every account. You shouldnt judge a majority just because of a few peoples actions, its people with that kind of attitude is the reason why this country has no self esteem and little respect. Remember to reread your post every once in a while to make shure your not posting anything offending. I do this alot because i know I could say something that will turn out wrong.

Oh and pretty please change the topic name.

As for the latest Harry Potter book. They need to stop coming out with all these books for pete sakes. They are just milking it dry.

It was planned as a seven book series from the beginning that's not milking. In fact, I think it's fair to say that she chose a fairly good way of handling it. Each book represents one year of Harry's schooling. The real milking, in my opinion, comes from the marketing and endless amount of adaptations. You know there were four video game versions of the first book, a different version for each platform it was on?

OK, I may not be a moderator, but if one does see this I think they should block this topic. I don't agree with what he has to say either, but please, just leave it be now he made a mistake......it's not like you guys are perfect......after a couple people ranted about it, it's not like you guys had to tear him down even further......especially after he appologized.

Theres actually a page by page scan in online. I heard that the grammer isnt so well though so it is probably fake. See the effort people put in to spoiling this book? They'll type of 700 or so pages or a fake story.

And Matt stop being such a jerk to everyone. So he's pissed at his country. Let him. He has the right. It is so unbelievably hard to actually avoid spoilers these passed few days. The New York Times even put out a review revealing important points. Like the rest of us, hes probably waited two years for this book, he can curse out anybody he wants.

And for all you Harry Potter fans, Ive got a good Harry Potter news and forum site where you can talk about things like this without being yelled out. Granted...it hasnt been working so well with all the traffic the past few days but I love this site:

Oh, no, no. From the beginning, the books have always said that Harry would spend seven years in school, and each book has represented one year. In fact, I think the books are all labeled as Year 1, Year 2, etc. Don't worry, this is the last one.

Agreed. Locked. You people need to all learn how to talk to one another. This is sad..If someone says something that you don't agree with you need to come at them like adults not chew them up an spit them out...This is a forum an it's called "The Pack" Packs have disagreements, but no one needs to be rude here, no one needs to be hurt..That was his opinion an you had yours and while I can agree that americans ((alot of them)) have issues, the very few that are kool are few..But anyways I don't need to point out these of you who took this topic too far..Look at wat you said an think about it next time before you post...
