I'm not a big fan of Hatebreed, but stuff like Meshuggah, Mushroomhead, Slayer, Dimmu Borgir, Emperor and alike always appealed to me (even though Mushroomhead is considered "nu-metal").

I didn't like it either, but after a while it gets cool. Weird music though.Emperor is a Nordic black metal band. Maybe you can find some samples at they'r homepage: www.emperorhorde.com I personally enjoy they'r music.

One song that I feel fits this would be Alter Bridge's Metalingus. Admittedly, I heard it used in a Sabrewulf compilation/tribute video and, given the lyrics, it does seem to be fitting. The singer sings about how he's leaving the past behind to pursue a better future and a dream. I suppose it could be applied not only to his story, but weres in general. These lyrics, credits going to azlyrics, are not entirely correct. When I find a more accurate version or write up one myself, I'll edit this post.
